Anion Exchange Membrane Seawater Electrolysis at 1.0 A cm−2 With an Anode Catalyst Stable for 9000 H

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The CAPist‐S1 catalyst containing dense interlayer structure is synthesized by one‐step autologous method. The dense NiFe LDH interlayer inhibits the Cl− ions penetration onto metal substrate, significantly improving the corrosion resistance. The obtained catalyst requires an overpotential of 220 mV at 1.0 A cm−2 and exhibits excellent durability over ...

Modulating Iron Crystals with Lattice Chalcophile‐Siderophile Elements for Selective Dechlorinations Over Hydrogen Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lattice engineering of nFe0 crystals with chalcophile‐siderophile elements optimizes the iron microenvironment, enhancing hydrophobicity, electron transfer, and selective dechlorination efficiency while reducing hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). The Cu─S─nFe0 material shows a 20‐fold increase in dechlorination rate, a 150‐fold decrease in HER, and ...

Bi‐Induced Few‐Layered Graphite Frameworks as Efficient Interfacial Transitions Toward Ultrafast Potassium Storage

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Design and synthesis of a composite anode material for potassium‐ion batteries, featuring few‐layered graphite encapsulated Bi nanoparticles embedded in Bi‐doped porous carbon fibers, to achieve ultrafast potassium storage. The few‐layer graphene framework, derived from a graphitization mechanism involving interstitial carbon atom rearrangement during ...

Zinc‐Doping‐Induced Electronic States Modulation of Molybdenum Carbide: Expediting Rate‐Determining Steps of Sulfur Conversion in Lithium‐Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Zn‐doped molybdenum carbide microflowers (Zn‐Mo2C) are exploited as a sulfur host for Li–S batteries. Zn doping elevates the d‐band center on Mo, enhancing LiPSs anchoring, weakening S─S/Li─S bonds, and reducing Li2S2→Li2S conversion energy barrier from 0.52 to 0.05 eV.
