Pulse induction parking sensor
2016 IEEE SENSORS, 2016This paper presents a pulse induction parking sensor, which measures the induced voltage generated by the presence of a vehicle. The parking information can be then shared into a network to inform the drivers about the on-street parking availability.

High-Sensitivity Inductive Pressure Sensor
IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2011A new type of pressure sensors with extremely high sensitivity is introduced. Unlike piezoresistive, capacitive, and linear-variable-differential-transformer-based pressure sensors, the new sensor is based on a technique for substantially changing the inductance of a coil. The prototype device has demonstrated a change in inductance of approximately 34.

A new electronic interface for inductive sensors
2015 10th Asian Control Conference (ASCC), 2015A new electronic interface for inductive sensors is presented. The proposed circuit is basically a current-feedback operational-amplifier (CFOA)-based sinusoidal oscillator circuit. The circuit uses only one externally connected inductor and exploits to advantage the internal poles of the CFOA.

Miniaturization design on magnetic induction sensors
Proceedings of 2011 International Conference on Electronic & Mechanical Engineering and Information Technology, 2011This document reviews three types of electromagnetic detecting sensors: magnetic induction coil sensors, magnetic superconducting sensors and magnetic saturating sensors. Because of its energy free, low threshold and noise value, high stability and sensitivity, the magnetic induction sensor is widely used.

A readout system for inductive position sensors
2007 18th European Conference on Circuit Theory and Design, 2007The readout electronics for contact-less inductive position sensors are currently based on discrete solutions. To enhance overall system performance, the implementation of the readout electronics into a single ASIC is desirable. This paper discusses the key system blocks of the analog front-end.

Inductive Telemetry of Multiple Sensor Modules
IEEE Pervasive Computing, 2005One of the many challenges associated with sensor networks is how to transmit data and power the sensors. Sensing multiple parameters in the environment requires miniaturized sensor nodes, relatively powerful programming platforms to interface with and process the data, and reliable long-term power solutions.

Scaling down an inductive proximity sensor
Sensors and Actuators A: Physical, 1996Abstract We analyse the problem of scaling down an inductive proximity sensor made of superposed multiple-turn flat coils. We scale down linearly all the geometrical dimensions. Then the nominal inductance is scaled down proportionally to the scale factor. The coupling factor of the superposed coils remains constant.

Differential Inductive Sensor-to-Microcontroller Interface Circuit
2019 IEEE International Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference (I2MTC), 2019This paper proposes a low-cost interface circuit for differential inductive sensors where the sensor is directly connected to a microcontroller unit (MCU) without any active intermediate electronics in between. The timer embedded into the MCU is employed to measure the discharging or charging time interval of two passive RL networks formed by each ...

Feedback for electromagnetic induction sensor arrays
2016 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS), 2016A method using feedback is presented that reduces several measurement errors inherent in electromagnetic induction sensors. Errors associated with coupling between receive coils and errors associated with operating near magnetic soils will both be reduced.
