A Wear Debris Signal Processing Method Based on Inductive Monitoring for Aero-Engine

open access: yesApplied Sciences
In view of the high false alarm rate in the oil debris monitoring results of the triple-coil inductive sensor in the transmission lubrication system of the aero-engine, a new debris signal processing method based on inductive monitoring is proposed.

Interplay Between Phase Evolution, Fe Migration, and Oxygen Redox in O3‐Type NaxFeyMn1−yO2 Cathodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Why do Na‐ion battery cathodes, that are compositionally closely related, follow different structural paths during battery operation? This work shows how Fe content controls when iron atoms migrate from their original sites. Early migration locks the layers and blocks key phase transitions, whereas delayed migration permits fuller structural ...

AI-Driven Electrical Fast Transient Suppression for Enhanced Electromagnetic Interference Immunity in Inductive Smart Proximity Sensors

open access: yes
Inductive proximity sensors are relevant in position-sensing applications in many industries but, in order to be used in harsh industrial environments, they need to be immune to electromagnetic interference (EMI).

3D Printing Innovations in Polymeric Porous and Patterned Architecture

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Polymeric foams occupy a unique structural space between dense solids and open networks, where engineered void fraction governs mechanical compliance, thermal resistance, and mass transport. Additive manufacturing now enables precise spatial control over cellular architecture, unlocking designer foam structures across applications spanning crash ...

A 3-D hybrid Jiles-Atherton/Stoner-Wohlfarth magnetic hysteresis model for inductive sensors and actuators

open access: yes, 2006
The Jiles-Atherton (JA) theory of hysteresis is currently used in the majority of commercial CAD tools, mainly due to its implementation simplicity in fast and stable algorithms.

Tailoring Li‐ion Storage and Transport in Two‐Dimensional Conjugated Metal‐Organic Frameworks via Precise Nitrogen Incorporation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Two nitrogen‐doped 2D conjugated metal‐organic frameworks (2D c‐MOFs, namely Cu‐Nx‐OHBA, x = 2 or 4) are synthesized, featuring precise nitrogen incorporation via rational ligand design. The Cu‐Nx‐OHBA 2D c‐MOFs are largely tailorable by varying skeletal nitrogen density, with respect to electrical conductivity, Li‐storage capacitance, and Li‐transport

Pull‐and‐Push Nanotherapeutic Hydrogels: Scavenging Inflammatory Triggers While Driving Tissue Regeneration in Burn Wounds

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A nanounit‐assembled hydrogel employing a “pull‐and‐push” strategy simultaneously scavenges pro‐inflammatory cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and delivers regenerative therapeutics in response to burn‐induced hyperthermia. By repolarizing macrophages and promoting angiogenesis, this multifunctional platform accelerates burn wound healing, offering a blueprint for

A giant magneto-inductive sensor for measuring high rotational speed of brushed and brushless direct-current motors

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2019
There is a paucity of research on measurement of high rotational speed of direct-current motors using giant magneto-inductive sensors. In this work, measurements of high rotation-speed of brushed and brushless direct-current motors were realized by using
