Engineering CO2 Reduction Pathways via Alloy‐Support Interactions in Li‐CO2 Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Alloy‐support interactions in RuCu/NC induce interfacial charge redistribution and shift d‐band centers, steering CO2 reduction from Li2CO3 to metastable Li2C2O4. This pathway engineering lowers the rate‐determining barrier and suppresses carbonate formation, enabling high discharge voltage (3.23 V) in Li‐CO2 batteries with reduced overpotential (0.50 ...

Nocturnal Intraocular Pressure Monitoring With a Soft Contact Lens Sensor for Glaucoma Management

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A soft contact lens sensor enables continuous, noninvasive monitoring of nocturnal intraocular pressure (IOP) under closed‐eye sleep conditions. By integrating a highly compliant inductive–capacitive circuit onto a commercial lens, the device achieves record sensitivity and stable performance.

Speciation and determination of mercury by various analytical techniques

open access: yesReviews in Analytical Chemistry, 2013
Mercury is one of the most important metals to environmental researchers due to its toxicity. In recent years, many authors determined the concentration of mercury and its different forms in the environment, such as soil, water, atmosphere and biota ...

Surface‐Functionalized LLZO‐Incorporated Multilayer Composite Solid Electrolytes for Dendrite Suppression and Efficient Ionic Conduction in Lithium–Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A soft–hard tri‐layer composite electrolyte that couples fast Li+ transport with reinforced interfacial stability to enable high‐conductivity, mechanically robust, dendrite‐free lithium‐metal batteries. ABSTRACT The development of solid polymer electrolytes is central to safe, high‐energy lithium‐metal batteries (LMBs); however, persistent challenges ...

Preparation of Spherical Mo5Si3 Powder by Inductively Coupled Thermal Plasma Treatment

open access: yesMetals, 2018
A method was developed to fabricate spherical Mo5Si3 powder by milling and spheroidizing using inductively coupled thermal plasma. A Mo5Si3 alloy ingot was fabricated by vacuum arc melting, after which it was easily pulverized into powder by milling due ...

Cadmium accumulation and interactions with zinc, copper, and manganese, analysed by ICP-MS in a long-term Caco-2 TC7 cell model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The influence of long-term exposure to cadmium (Cd) on essential minerals was investigated using a Caco-2 TC7 cells and a multi-analytical tool: microwave digestion and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry.

Gas‐Selective Remote Plasma Engineering of WO3 Photoanodes for Solar Water Splitting

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Gas‐selective remote plasma treatment tunes the near‐surface defect chemistry of WO3 photoanodes without altering their bulk structure. Ar plasma generates the most oxygen‐vacancy‐rich surface and the highest W5+ content, delivering the strongest photocurrent.

Two-dimensional fluid model simulation of bell jar top inductively coupled plasma

open access: yes, 1997
In the present paper, argon (Ar) plasmas in a bell jar inductively coupled plasma (ICP) source are systematically studied over pressures from 5 to 20 mtorr and power inputs from 0.2 to 0.5 kW.

Bistability and hysteresis in inductively coupled plasmas

open access: yes, 2000
The transition between the two stable operation regimes (E and H discharge modes) in inductively coupled argon plasmas has been studied experimentally and theoretically. Analogy with other physical phenomena exhibiting hysteresis has been drawn. Analysis
