Determination of ultra-trace rare earth elements in ultramafic and sulfide samples by quadrupole inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry

open access: yes, 2009
A method has been developed for the determination of rare earth elements (REE) in ultramafic and sulfide samples by quadrupole inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP-MS).

Spectrally Coordinated Plasmonic–Photothermal Photocatalysts for Mineralization of Mixed Indoor VOCs Under White LED Illumination

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A plasmonic–photothermal–photocatalytic hybrid comprising Cu(II)‐grafted TiO2, yolk–shell Au@SiO2, and reduced graphene oxide sheets (CuT/AuSi‐GS) harvests full‐spectrum white light‐emitting diode (LED) light via complementary photocatalytic oxidation, localized surface‐plasmon‐resonance‐induced electric‐field enhancement, and photothermal acceleration.

Poly(Alkoxythiophene) Rod‐Coil Block Copolymers for Organic Electrochemical Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We present the first synthesis of poly(3‐alkoxythiophene) rod‐coil block copolymers as a new architecture for OMIECs. Incorporating PEG and PLLA coils can enhance device performance beyond the homopolymer. The figure‐of‐merit depends uniquely on coil length.

PROBLEMS OF IODIDE IONS DETERMINATION IN MULTIVITAMINS BY INDUCTIVELY COUPLED PLASMA ATOMIC-EMISSION SPECTROMETRY

open access: yesРегуляторные исследования и экспертиза лекарственных средств, 2018
The article looks into the main problems of determination of iodine trace amounts in multivitamins by inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES), i.e. spectral overlaps attributable to macro-components, and the background effect of

Atom–Cluster Synergy in Scalable Fe–Ru Dual‐Site Architectures Accelerates Alkaline Hydrogen Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A mechanochemically synthesized dual‐site electrocatalyst (RuNC@Fe1NC) accelerates alkaline hydrogen evolution via atomic‐level spatial decoupling. Oxophilic Fe single atoms effectively dissociate water, while adjacent Ru nanoclusters rapidly recombine hydrogen.

Online preconcentration ICP-MS analysis of rare earth elements in seawater [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The rare earth elements (REEs) with their systematically varying properties are powerful tracers of continental inputs, particle scavenging intensity and the oxidation state of seawater.

Atomic Mineral Characteristics of Indonesian Osteoporosis by High-Resolution Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2012
Clinical research indicates that negative calcium balance is associated with low bone mass, rapid bone loss, and high fracture rates. However, some studies revealed that not only calcium is involved in bone strengthening as risk factor of fracture ...

Mapping diagenesis in archaeological human bones

open access: yesHeritage Science, 2019
We describe a procedure for ascertaining the extent of diagenesis in archaeological human skeletons through the distribution of Sr, Ba, Cu, Pb, Fe, and Mn in cross-sections of femoral cortical bone.
