A Comparison of Microdrilling-TIMS/MC-ICPMS and LA-MC-ICPMS for Micro-sample Sr Isotope Measurement

open access: yesYankuang ceshi, 2014
Compared to the traditional strontium isotope analytical method, a micro-sample strontium isotope system study can reveal the heterogeneity of analyzed samples and is widely used in various fields of geology, such as crust-mantle interaction, genesis and

Assay methods for U-238, Th-232, and Pb-210 in lead and calibration of Bi-210 bremsstrahlung emission from lead [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Radioanalytical and Nuclear Chemistry 309(3): 1271-1281 (2016), 2015
Assay methods for measuring 238U, 232Th, and 210Pb concentrations in refined lead are presented. The 238U and 232Th concentrations are determined using isotope dilution inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ID-ICP-MS) after anion exchange column separation of dissolved lead samples.

Photo‐Assisted Zn‐Iodine Battery via Bifunctional Cathode with Iodine Host and Solar Response Boost

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A bifunctional cathode based on BiOI materials is developed for photo‐assisted Zn‐iodine batteries, serving as both an iodine host and a solar‐responsive material. This design enables dual reaction routes involving vacancy‐based iodine storage and reversible two steps iodine redox.

Determination of wholesome elements and heavy metals in safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.) from Xinjiang and Henan by ICP-MS/ICP-AES

open access: yesJournal of Pharmaceutical Analysis, 2011
An inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) or inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) was developed to determine 19 elements in safflower, a traditional Chinese medicinal herb from Xinjiang Autonomous Region and ...

Chondrule trace element geochemistry at the mineral scale [PDF]

open access: yesMeteoritics and Planetary Science, volume 47, issue 11, 1695-1714, November 2012, 2015
We report trace element analyses from mineral phases in chondrules from carbonaceous chondrites (Vigarano, Renazzo and Acfer 187), carried out by laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. Results are similar in all three meteorites. Mesostasis has Rare Earth Element (REE) concentrations of 10-20 x CI.

Facile Synthesis of CuxS Electrocatalysts for CO2 Conversion into Formate and Study of Relations Between Cu and S with the Selectivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Copper sulfide based electrocatalysts for CO2 conversion are selective for production of formate as major product. Transformations under electrochemical conditions result in significant sulfur loss, and this study examines the nature of how persistent, residual sulfur (observed as surface SO42– species and S dissolved in the electrolyte) can sustain ...

Bare and Polymer Coated Iron Oxide Superparamagnetic Nanoparticles for Effective Removal of U (VI) from Acidic and Neutral Aqueous Medium [PDF]

open access: yesApplied Surface Science 447 2018 381-387, 2018
Superparamagnetic {\gamma}-Fe2O3 nanoparticles (5 nm diameter) were synthesized in water. The bare particles exhibit good colloidal stability at ~ pH 2 because of the strong electrostatic repulsion with a surface charge of +25 mV. The polyacrylic acid (PAA)-coated particles exhibit remarkable colloidal stability at ~ pH 7 with abundant free carboxyl ...

In Situ Constructed Magnetic Core‐Shell Hydrogen‐Bonded Organic Framework‐on‐Metal–Organic Framework Structure: an Efficient Catalyst for Peroxymonosulfate Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, a magnetic core‐shell catalyst (HOF‐on‐Fe3O4/ZIF‐67) is successfully synthesized, consisting of a metal–organic framework (ZIF‐67) with magnetic Fe3O4 as the core and a porous hydrogen‐bonded organic framework (HOF) as the shell. The catalyst efficiently activated peroxymonosulfate, resulting in rapid and effective removal of water ...
