Industrializing Biocatalysis

open access: yesCHIMIA
Biocatalysis leverages enzymes, nature’s catalysts, to enhance essential steps in chemical synthesis, thereby promoting more sustainable and efficient processes. Enzymes, macromolecular proteins, catalyze reactions with precision and efficiency in all living organisms.

Ecological network collapse and functional potential shifts in the canine oral microbiota associated with periodontal disease: a pilot study

open access: yesScientific Reports
Periodontal disease is a highly prevalent disease in dogs; however, the underlying shifts in the oral microbiota remain unclear. Although dysbiosis is often associated with a loss of diversity, the ecological dynamics of canine periodontal disease remain

Green Fuel Combustion Synthesis of CeO2 and Ag/CeO2 Nanoparticles for Photocatalytic and Antibacterial Applications

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Silver‐doped cerium oxide nanoparticles (Ag/CeO2 NPs) were synthesized using Ricinus communis seed extract as a bio‐derived fuel in a solution combustion method. The combustion reaction, carried out at 450°C with AgNO3 and (NH4)2[Ce (NO3)6] as metal precursors, produced CeO2 and Ag/CeO2 NPs.

Radiation‐Absorptive Heat Transport in Buoyancy‐Driven MHD Nanofluids Flow With Cross‐Diffusion and Chemical Interaction Effects Over a Vertical Moving Plate

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This article investigates the Soret–Dufour cross‐diffusion effects on radiation‐absorptive unsteady free‐convection of magnetized nanofluids (TiO2–water$$ {\mathrm{TiO}}_2\hbox{--} \mathrm{water} $$ and Cu–water$$ \mathrm{Cu}\hbox{--} \mathrm{water} $$) flow over a vertical moving permeable plate.
