Development of Low Fluorinated, Sustainable, and Recyclable Electrolytes Based on γ‐Valerolactone for High‐Performance Sodium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesSmall, Volume 22, Issue 23, 22 April 2026.
ABSTRACT This study introduces a dual salt novel electrolyte for sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs), consisting of sodium difluoro(oxalato)borate (NaDFOB) and sodium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide (NaFSI) salts dissolved in the bio‐based γ‐valerolactone (GVL) solvent.

Upper Ocean Cycling of Iron South of the Polar Front: Biological Patterns and Processes

open access: yesGlobal Biogeochemical Cycles, Volume 40, Issue 4, April 2026.
Abstract Samples from the upper 300 m along the 52°S band, south of the Antarctic Polar Front in the Atlantic sector of the Southern Ocean, including a 3‐week monitoring of a persistent bloom, were analyzed to advance our understanding of iron cycling and supply to recurrent phytoplankton blooms.

Isothiazolinones in Disposable Rubber Gloves—Results of Chemical Analysis

open access: yesContact Dermatitis, Volume 94, Issue 4, Page 408-415, April 2026.
Chemical analysis revealed benzisothiazolinone (BIT) in 30/54 disposable rubber gloves (27 nitrile rubber gloves, 2 neoprene rubber gloves and 1 natural rubber glove) in concentrations of 0.3–73.7 ppm. Methylisothiazolinone (MI) was found in six nitrile rubber gloves in small concentrations.
