Semantic query languages for knowledge-based web services in a construction context [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Since the early 2000s, different frameworks were set up to enable web-based collaboration in building projects. Unfortunately, none of these initiatives was granted a long life.

A Sensory Method to Evaluate Food Texture for Oropharyngeal Dysphagia by Emulating Oral Tasks

open access: yesJournal of Texture Studies, Volume 57, Issue 1, February 2026.
Oropharyngeal dysphagia (OD) impairs chewing and swallowing, requiring adapted food textures. This study presents a sensory evaluation method for texture‐modified foods based on emulating oral tasks performed by people with OD. Specific oral tasks were linked to key attributes such as hardness, adhesiveness, and residue.

Information system support in construction industry with semantic web technologies and/or autonomous reasoning agents [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Information technology support is hard to find for the early design phases of the architectural design process. Many of the existing issues in such design decision support tools appear to be caused by a mismatch between the ways in which designers think ...

Decoupling Heat and Electrical Conduction in Bilayer Graphene Through Wrinkling‐Induced Phonon Hybridization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 3, 14 January 2026.
Measurements of wrinkled bilayer graphene reveal a strikingly inverse anisotropic relationship: thermal conductivity perpendicular to the wrinkles is lower than that parallel to the wrinkles, whereas electrical conductivity exhibits the opposite trend, highlighting the decoupling of thermal and electrical transport in wrinkled graphene.

Sustainable Futures: Redefining Africa's Circular Economy Through FinTech and Knowledge‐Driven Innovations

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, Volume 35, Issue 1, Page 305-328, January 2026.
ABSTRACT As sustainability becomes a global imperative, the circular economy (CE) presents a vital strategy for resource efficiency and resilience, particularly in Africa. This study examines how FinTech and knowledge‐driven innovations (i.e., human capital, ICT access, and innovation) shape CE outcomes across 33 African countries from 1997 to 2021 ...
