MXenes: Emerging Materials for Environmental Biochemical Sensing Platforms

open access: yesElectron, EarlyView.
MXenes (e.g., transition metal carbides, nitrides, and carbonitrides), among those potential candidates for sensing materials, show promising potential with their intrinsically two‐dimensional large interactive area, wide‐range‐tunable material properties, active surface chemistry, and excellent processability for large‐scale fabrication.

Application of Surface‐Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) in Histamine Analysis of Aquatic Products: Principles, Applications, Challenges, and Prospects

open access: yesFood Frontiers, EarlyView.
This review introduces the significant advantages of SERS detection of histamine, which is accurate, non‐destructive, and fast. By critically analyzing the current challenges, we propose future directions for industrializing the application of SERS in histamine detection.

Fluorinated Rocksalt‐Polyanion Cathode for Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Materials, EarlyView.
A fluorinated rocksalt‐polyanion (DRXPS) cathode, Li3Mn1.6P0.4O5.4F0.6 (DRXPS‐P‐F), is developed by incorporating P5+ and F− into a cation‐deficient rocksalt lattice. The resulting material exhibits fast Li+ diffusion enabled by spinel cation ordering and stabilized high‐voltage cycling due to strong covalent P─O bonding.

Impact of Beam Profile on Raman Spectroscopy Measurements

open access: yesJournal of Raman Spectroscopy, EarlyView.
Characterisation and optimisation of the laser beam profile in Raman spectroscopy is critical to ensure accuracy and reproducibility of measurements. The laser beam size and profile have a significant effect on the axial resolution, energy distribution on the sample, focal spot size and excitation volume.

Preparation and Identification of Heavy Minerals for Archaeometrical Studies: Villa of Fiumana (FC), Italy

open access: yesJournal of Raman Spectroscopy, EarlyView.
This paper presents a new protocol for the laboratory preparation of archaeological samples. Ceramics that have been hand‐crafted using different sediments as raw materials were collected in a Roman Villa sited in Fiumana (FC), Italy. This method aims at concentrating and analysing heavy minerals in the 15–250 μm grain size fraction, studying the ...
