Description and User Instructions for the Quaternion_to_Orbit_v3 Software [PDF]

open access: yes
For a given inertial frame of reference, the software combines the spacecraft orbits with the spacecraft attitude quaternions, and rotates the body-fixed reference frame of a particular spacecraft to the inertial reference frame.

Airbrushing: A Novel Method for Preparation of High‐Emissivity Black Coating for Infrared Measurements

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This study showcases the airbrush method, a novel coating technique for the preparation of thin black paint coatings for infrared camera measurements. Using the method, coatings with an emissivity of 0.95, and as thin as 3 µm can be prepared. The method is affordable, non‐destructive, and can be prepared onto a wide range of substrates while ...

Formation of Q‐Carbon Nanoballs and Nanodiamonds by Pulsed Laser Annealing of Patterned Polymer Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
2D and 3D patterned structures of Q‐carbon nanoballs and nanodiamonds have been created by laser writing of polymers, carbonization, and pulsed laser annealing. Polymeric structures are prepared by using a direct‐laser‐writing (DLW) process involving two‐photon polymerization (2PP). Patterned nanodiamond and Q‐carbon growth over large areas is obtained

Durable Electro‐Photothermal Superhydrophobic Coatings Based on Liquid‐Like Functionalization of Nanoparticles: Improved Water Repellency and Droplet Rebound

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Multi‐walled carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are functionalized with liquid‐like linear polydimethylsiloxane (LPDMS) brushes and conventional solid‐like alkyl brushes, then incorporated into a resin and spray‐coated onto substrates. The resulting surfaces exhibit distinct water‐repellent behaviors.

AlScN/GaN Multichannel Heterostructures Grown by Metal–Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Growth of AlScN/GaN multichannel heterostructures by metal–organic chemical vapor deposition is demonstrated for the first time. The growth of such structures is detailed through changes in growth parameters, such as the number of periods and the thickness of the channel layers, as well as structural studies.

Atomic Layer Deposition‐Coated Glass Vials Fulfilling Pharmacopoeia Criteria for Light Transmissibility for Photosensitive Pharmaceuticals

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Distributed Bragg Reflectors made of nanoscale TiO2 and SiO2 layers are created with atomic layer deposition on clear glass vials. These coated vials are intended to serve as primary packaging material for photosensitive pharmaceuticals. Transmission and reflectance of various coatings are studied, and an optimal structure fulfilling the pharmacopoeia ...

Reframing Whole-Body Angular Momentum: Exploring the Impact of Low-Pass Filtered Dynamic Local Reference Frames During Straight-Line and Turning Gaits

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Neural Systems and Rehabilitation Engineering
Accurately estimating whole-body angular momentum (WBAM) during daily activities may benefit from choosing a locally-defined reference frame aligned with anatomical axes, particularly during activities involving body turns.
