Entrainment of an inertial reference frame by an accelerated gravitating shell
For the example of an accelerated shell we show that omission of the energy-momentum tensor (EMT) of the body that causes the acceleration and the tensions due to this acceleration can lead to a paradoxical result; Namely, the entrainment of an inertial frame by the accelerated shell in the direction opposite to that of the acceleration.

An Alternative Theory on the Spacetime of Non-inertial Reference Frame
In present paper, we have proposed an alternative theory on the spacetime of non-inertial reference frame (NRF) which bases on the requirement of general completeness (RGC) and the principle of equality of all reference frames (PERF). The RGC is that the physical equations used to describe the dynamics of matter and/or fields should include the ...

THEGAIAINERTIAL REFERENCE FRAME AND THE TILTING OF THE MILKY WAY DISK [PDF]
While the precise relationship between the Milky Way disk and the symmetry planes of the dark matter halo remains somewhat uncertain, a time-varying disk orientation with respect to an inertial reference frame seems probable.

An Analysis of the Concept of Inertial Frame in Classical Physics and Special Theory of Relativity
The concept of inertial frame of reference in classical physics and special theory of relativity is analyzed. It has been shown that this fundamental concept of physics is not clear enough.

A direct numerical simulation display of the rotational frame preference of turbulence
An elementary observation of a laminar cylindrical Poiseuille–Couette flow profile reveals no distinction in the parabolic streamwise profile, from one without a cross-stream flow, in whatever reference frame the observation is made.
