Theoretical Analysis and Numerical Simulation Research on the Response of Inertial Switches

open access: yesMicromachines
This paper focuses on inertial switches, which are vital in multiple fields. A theoretical analysis model based on the spring-mass model was proposed, aiming to acquire the mechanical performance of the inertial switch under different loading conditions and reveal the influence of design parameters on its dynamic response.

Enhanced inertial magnetization response driven by chirped terahertz field

open access: yesOptics Express
We explore the spin dynamics process in ferromagnets driven by chirped THz fields, utilizing the spin dynamics model derived from the inertial Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert equation. Our findings reveal a substantial enhancement in spin dynamics intensity, ranging from 15% to 20% when the sample is subjected to a chirped THz pulse.

When Poor Exciton Dissociation Limits Photocurrents in Organic Solar Cells: Why Low Offset Non‐Fullerene Acceptor Blends Can't Be Efficient

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The energetic offset between the donor and the acceptor components in organic photoactive layers is central to the tradeoff between photovoltage and photocurrent losses. This Perspective covers the most important issues surrounding this topic in non‐fullerene acceptor blends, from the difficulty of accurately determining state energies and driving ...

Far-field dynamic behavior of a half-space under an inertial strip foundation subjected to a time-harmonic force

open access: yesLatin American Journal of Solids and Structures
Recent research works demonstrated that the interaction between the loads and the carrying structure's boundary which is related to the inertia of the load is an influential factor on the dynamic response of the structure. Although effects of the inertia
