Wearable Inertial Sensors for Exergames and Rehabilitation

2020 42nd Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine & Biology Society (EMBC), 2020
This paper presents the design and development of an exergame for the wearable inertial sensor (WIS) system for performing range of motion (ROM) exercises. The salient features of the exergame include: (i) a sensor calibration user-interface (UI); (ii) a sensor mounting UI, (iii) a patient gaming UI; (iv) an instructor playback UI; and (v) an ...

Inertial magnetofluidic sensor

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1994
A new application of first kind levitation in magnetic fluids has been studied. Using the inertial properties of a diamagnetic or paramagnetic heavy body immersed in magnetic fluid positioned in a magnetic field gradient the possibility to achieve an inertial magnetofluidic sensor has been proved.

A Robot Visual/Inertial Servoing to an Object with Inertial Sensors

2009
The paper introduces a robot visual/inertial servoing algorithm when the robot needs to track an object with inertial sensors inside. In this situation, first, inertial Jacobian is newly defined to show the relationship between an angle set velocity vector and angular velocity vector of the robot tip.

Inertial and magnetic sensors

2022

Inertial Sensor-Based Respiration Analysis

IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2019
In this paper, we propose a system that is capable of detecting the breath rate of an athlete. Furthermore, we investigate equivalences with the tidal volume over the inclination angle of the thorax to analyze correlations with the respiratory minute volume which is the product of the breath rate and the tidal volume.
