Ramadan and Infants Health Outcomes [PDF]
Previous studies show that prenatal shocks to embryos could have adverse impacts on health endowment at birth. Using the universe of birth data and a difference-in-difference-in-difference strategy, I find that exposure to Ramadan during prenatal development has negative birth outcomes.

Maternal Age and Infant Mortality: A Test of the Wilcox-Russell Hypothesis [PDF]

The Extremely Low Birth Weight Infant
Extremely low birth weight infants (ELBW) are defined by birth weight of less than 1000 g and are frequently born at 27 weeks’ gestation (GW) or younger. The neonatologists’ efforts focused on improvement of intact survival rate, especially for those born at the frontiers of viability at 22/23 GW.

Association between Bacterial Vaginosis and Preterm Delivery of a Low-Birth-Weight Infant

A Correlative Study of An At-Risk Population and Low Birth Weight/Infant Mortality in a Northeast Oklahoma City Community [PDF]
Studies show that numerous and complex variables influence pregnancy outcomes and infant mortality rates. These variables include demographic, medical, physical, environmental, behavioral, and attitudinal factors and prenatal care.

Combination Therapy With Vigabatrin and Prednisolone Versus Vigabatrin Alone for Infantile Spasms
ABSTRACT Objective The study evaluated the effectiveness of combination therapy with vigabatrin and prednisolone versus vigabatrin alone for treating infantile epileptic spasms syndrome (IESS). Methods This single‐center, single‐blind, randomized trial enrolled infants aged 2–14 months with new‐onset IESS, randomly assigned them (1:1) to receive either
