Harnessing Vinylogy with Radicals: Photoinduced γ‐Benzylation Reactions of 2‐Silyloxyfurans
Two radical‐mediated benzylations of 2‐silyloxyfurans, promoted by visible light and suitable photoredox catalysts have been disclosed. A broad scope of γ‐benzyl butenolides was obtained in one step, some of which were used as strategic precursors to bio‐valuable chiral butanolides.

Analyzing the impact of prenatal care on infant health: do we have useful input and output measures? [PDF]
Recent work raises questions about the input and output measures typically used to estimate the impact of prenatal care on infant health: self-reported prenatal care may generate biased estimates of the impact of prenatal care on infant health, and ...

DECENT is a deep learning method that enhances noninvasive preimplantation genetic testing by accurately reconstructing embryonic copy number variations (CNVs) from cell‐free DNA in spent embryo culture media. By mitigating maternal contamination, DECENT improves diagnostic accuracy, even with high contamination levels, offering a reliable, noninvasive

The bottom‐up strategy based on multiomics data is used for the SynCom design, and it successfully inhibited F. nucleatum growth and achieved stable colonization in vivo. In addition, it promoted tryptophan metabolism and secondary bile acid conversion, reduced lipid accumulation, relieved microbiome disorder, decreased inflammatory reaction, and ...

Typically Unobserved Variables (TUVs) and Selection into Prenatal Inputs: Implications for Estimating Infant Health Production Functions [PDF]
We examine the extent to which infant health production functions are sensitive to model specification and measurement error. We focus on the importance of typically unobserved but theoretically important variables (TUVs), other non-standard covariates ...
