Infantile hemangioma: An update
Infantile hemangiomas (IH) are neoplastic proliferations of endothelial cells, characterized by a period of growth after birth, and eventual spontaneous involution. The course can be uneventful, culminating in spontaneous resolution; or it may be marked by complications such as bleeding; ulceration; infection; visual, feeding and breathing compromise ...

Propranolol for Infantile Hemangiomas [PDF]
Hemangiomas are common vascular birthmarks that usually present a predictable pattern of proliferation and ultimate involution. Most do not require any treatment. When intervention is clinically indicated, medical and surgical options exist. Historically, corticosteroids have been used and have been shown to slow or stop the growth of a majority of ...

Klippel‐Trénaunay‐Weber Syndrome: Prenatal Diagnosis and Review of the Literature
This meta‐analysis demonstrates the high diagnostic accuracy of SZ‐CEUS for differentiating between malignant and benign focal liver lesions, as well as for HCC from non‐HCC lesions. The study shows better performance for smaller lesions and those with a higher proportion of malignancy.

Cardiac hemangioma of the right atrium in a neonate : fetal management and expedited surgical resection [PDF]
Cardiac hemangioma is a rare tumor with a reported incidence of 1-2%. We describe the case of a neonate with a right atrial mass that was diagnosed prenatally. The fetus developed a supraventricular tachycardia and was delivered by cesarean section in

Clinical characteristics of infantile haemangioma in twins: a retrospective study
Background Infantile hemangioma is one of the most common benign soft tissue tumors in infants. The pathogenesis of infantile hemangioma remains unclear and twin studies regarding its incidence may help clarify disease pathogenesis.

Successful propranolol therapy for infantile hepatic hemangioma with cardiac failure
Abstract Infantile hepatic hemangioma (IHH) can cause severe complications such as high‐output cardiac failure and growth faltering, requiring prompt diagnosis and intervention. In the absence of standardized treatment guidelines, propranolol has emerged as an effective and well‐tolerated therapy.

NOGOB receptor–mediated RAS signaling pathway is a target for suppressing proliferating hemangioma
Infantile hemangioma is a vascular tumor characterized by the rapid growth of disorganized blood vessels followed by slow spontaneous involution. The underlying molecular mechanisms that regulate hemangioma proliferation and involution still are not well
