Seroprevalence and Associated Risk Factors of Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis (IBR) and Animal Owners' Knowledge, Attitude and Practice (KAP) Towards the Disease in Selected Districts of East Wollega Zone, Oromia Regional State, Ethiopia. [PDF]

open access: yesVet Med Sci
Cross‐sectional study was used to determine the seroprevalence of IBR, associated risk factors and KAP. A total of 384 cattle's sera samples were collected and competitive ELISA for testing anti‐gB. A total of 100 questionnaire data were collected from animal owners. The total prevalence was 70.54% at herd and 80.47% at individual cattle level.

Epidemiological Insights Into BVDV and IBRV in Feeder Cattle After Cross-Regional Transport in China 2022-2024: Coinfection Dynamics and Implications for BRDC Control. [PDF]

open access: yesTransbound Emerg Dis
Background Bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) and infectious bovine rhinotracheitis virus (IBRV) are key components of the bovine respiratory disease complex (BRDC) in China’s cross‐regional feeder system. We quantified antibody and antigen positivity and identified epidemiological determinants across provinces, seasons, years, and clinical status ...

Endemic cattle diseases : comparative epidemiology and governance [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Cattle are infected by a community of endemic pathogens with different epidemiological properties which invoke different managerial and governmental responses. We present characteristics of pathogens that influence their ability to persist in the UK, and

Detection of Bovine Herpesvirus 1 from Semen by Real-time PCR to Prevent the Spread of Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis Infection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis (IBR) can be transmitted by livestock seeds and semen, through the process of artificial insemination. Therefore, it is necessary to detect the presence of the Bovine Herpesvirus 1 (BHV1) in semen through artificial ...

Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis Virus of Cattle and Buffaloes [PDF]

open access: yes, 1983
Infectious bovine rhinotracheitis virus infection in cattle has been reported throughout the world. The study of infectious bovine rhinotracheitis in buffalo was very limited.

Inducing Antigen‐Specific and Functional Immune Responses in Mice Toward Bovine Herpesvirus 1 and Bovine Respiratory Syncytial Virus by Chimeric Peptides Delivered by Bovine Herpesvirus 4‐Based Vector

open access: yesImmunology, EarlyView.
Bovine Alphaherpesvirus 1 (BoHV‐1) and Bovine respiratory syncytial virus (BRSV) are major drivers of respiratory disease in cattle. (A) To target both pathogens, two chimeric antigens—membrane‐linked and secreted—combining BoHV‐1 glycoprotein D and BRSV fusion glycoprotein were designed and expressed using recombinant BoHV‐4‐based vectors.
