Refining TREC cutoff values in newborn screening (NBS) for SCID: ROC analysis of a large testing cohort supports increasing the TREC threshold from 100 to 150–200 copies/105 cells, improving assay sensitivity and enabling earlier detection of SCID and other immunodeficiencies.

Abstract Streptococcus agalactiae (GBS) is a rare cause of meningitis in healthy adults. We report the case of a healthy 33‐year‐old man with acute GBS meningitis who experienced relapsed high‐grade fever and increased intracranial pressure following completing intravenous antibiotics.

Varicella pneumonia associated with incomplete vaccination in a patient with trisomy 21: A case report

This case report describes a 24‐year‐old woman with trisomy 21 and an incomplete childhood vaccination history who developed severe disseminated varicella and varicella pneumonia. Chest CT on admission day 3 revealed scattered small nodules in both lung fields, characteristic of varicella pneumonia.
