Abstract Antibiotics are commonly prescribed in periodontal and implant surgeries, either before, during or after surgery, to prevent postoperative infection and reduce early implant failure. However, the potential benefits may be undermined by the risks of resistance and sensitization, thus requiring a strict indication for prescription.

We performed a survey on lifestyle habits aimed at reducing the risks associated with immunosuppression in kidney transplant recipients. We found gaps in dental hygiene, sunscreen use, vaccination, and consumption of high‐risk foods. Cultural and economic factors influenced adherence.

Abstract Background Cutibacterium acnes contaminated platelet concentrates (PCs) are transfused due to late detection during culture‐based screening. C. acnes has been implicated in mild adverse transfusion reactions; however, it harbors multiple virulence genes and can cause chronic infections in the clinical setting.
