“THE EFFECTS OF ANTERIOR VERSUS INFERIOR GLIDE IN IMPROVING FUNCTIONAL ACTIVITY OF THE SHOULDER IN PATIENTS WITH ADHESIVE CAPSULITIS”

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, 2020
Adhesive capsulitis is a self‐limiting condition of elderly people with marked deterioration of activities of daily living (ADL) leading to restriction of psychosocial movement (functional limitation). This article determines the improvement of signs of adhesive capsulitis as per force of direction of ...

Hot‐Film and Calorimetric Methods With Transient Heating for Measurement of High Biofluid Flow Rate

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Accurate measurement of biofluid flow rate is vital for clinical diagnostics. We propose a transient heating strategy using short thermal pulses and peak temperature tracking to enhance the flow sensitivity of the hot‐Film and calorimetric methods. Simulations show how optimal heating time maximizes sensitivity across flow rates.

Modified Latarjet Procedure Without Capsulolabral Repair for Failed Previous Operative Stabilizations

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, 2018
The optimal management of recurrent anterior shoulder instability with significant glenoid bone loss continues to be a challenge. The high recurrence rates seen in arthroscopic Bankart repair in the presence of significant glenoid bone loss have led many

PillCam COLON capsule endoscopy: recent advances and new insights

open access: yes, 2011
Capsule endoscopy for the colon was introduced to allow an alternative screening method to the invasive classic colonoscopy. The results of initial studies have shown inferior detection rates of colonic polyps by the colon capsule.

Chlorination‐Enabled Oxygen Control and Dual‐Sulfur Source Aided Trap Passivation to Unlock 8.24% Efficient Sb2S3 Photovoltaic Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates a scalable, low‐temperature synthesis strategy that combines a thioacetamide (TA)‐based dual sulfur source with CdS chlorination, enabling the formation of high‐quality Sb2S3 with a reduced open‐circuit voltage loss, resulting in improved device efficiency.

Ionic Transportation Induced Electric Field Modulation in Porous Ecoflex/PTFE with Confined Liquid for High‐Performance Contact Electrification Power Generation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Porous Ecoflex/PTFE composite with encapsulated liquid generates electricity through ionic migration induced by dynamic pore deformation, creating non‐uniform electric fields that drive charge induction on electrodes. This mechanism enhances charge transfer and ensures stable contact electrification performance, achieving 12 V and 4 nC with consistent ...

Spatial distribution of loose connective tissues on the anterior hip joint capsule: a combination of cadaveric and in-vivo study

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
Recently, pathological changes in the fat pad on the anterior inferior iliac spine (AIIS), between the proximal rectus femoris and joint capsule, have been highlighted as a cause of anterior hip pain.

The role of the inferior glenohumeral capsule ratio in the diagnosis of frozen shoulder/ adhesive capsulitis—An ultrasound study

open access: yesSonography
AbstractObjectivesTo investigate the role of the inferior glenohumeral capsule (IGHC) ratio in diagnosing frozen shoulder (FS) by analysing two patient groups with shoulder dysfunction, one with and the other without clinical signs of FS.MethodsThis study was performed in volunteers with unilateral shoulder problems.
