Self‐Texturing Scratch‐Resistant and Bacteria‐Repellent Superhydrophobic Polypropylene Surfaces Through Extrusion‐Based Additive Manufacturing

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, Volume 311, Issue 5, May 2026.
One‐step 3D printing combined with in‐situ self‐assembly of behenic acid creates hierarchical polypropylene surfaces with micro‐ and nanostructures. The resulting material exhibits superhydrophobicity with a contact angle of 163 (±2)°, self‐healing, and high scratch resistance, while reducing initial bacterial adhesion by 87%. ABSTRACT Superhydrophobic

Study on Seismic Performance of RC Frame Structures Considering the Effect of Infilled Walls

open access: yesBuildings
This paper studies the impact of half-height infilled walls on the failure modes of frame columns through quasi-static tests of both frame models and half-height infilled wall frame models.

Effects of Soft storey Irregularity on RC building Response [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Albanian building stock is composed of reinforced concrete and masonry buildings. Most of these buildings are designed with Old Albanian Codes (KTP Codes) and some of them are constructed without any project.

Competition Between Accommodation Space and River Sediment Supply in New Zealand Estuaries

open access: yesEarth's Future, Volume 14, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract This study examines how three New Zealand estuaries with similar geomorphic features but contrasting climates respond to past and projected changes in sea‐level and riverine sediment supply, using an aggregated‐scale estuarine model. Model calibration against historical sedimentation rates demonstrated good agreement, providing confidence in ...

Evaluation of Local & Global Ductility Relationships for Low-Rise Masonry-Infilled Reinforced Concrete Frame Structures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The paper presents the findings on a parametric study of the period lengthening effects of low-rise masonryinfilled reinforced concrete frame buildings using an incremental dynamic analysis (IDA).

Reshaping of San Jose Island, TX, USA, by Unconfined Washover and Channelized Washout During Hurricane Harvey

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Earth Surface, Volume 131, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract Hurricane Harvey (2017) produced 31 net‐erosional washout channels on San Jose Island, Texas, USA, where offshore‐directed flows cut through two dune ridges and the beach. Channel growth was affected by natural, pre‐existing aeolian topography, rather than prior washover channels or infrastructure. We investigate how offshore directed outwash,

Refinement of a Framework for Moving Aircraft River Velocimetry (MARV) and Application to Particle Tracking Along Alaskan Rivers

open access: yesWater Resources Research, Volume 62, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract Information on river velocities enhances understanding flood hazards, evaluating habitat conditions, and predicting the transport of floating materials. In this follow‐up study, we used data from two new sites, one with a more complex morphology and the other with a lower suspended sediment concentration, to provide further evidence that ...

PONAŠANJE A-B OKVIRA S JAKIM ZIDNIM ISPUNOM NA HORIZONTALNO CIKLIČKO OPTEREĆENJE [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
This paper gives an overview of the experimental results obtained by testing three reinforced concrete (RC) frame models with strong infill walls and one bare RC frame model for comparison. The experimental results of the RC frame models with and without
