Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Evaluating whole field irrigation performance using statistical inference of inter-furrow infiltration variation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Inter-furrow infiltration variability is often ignored during the evaluation and optimisation of furrow irrigation. Existing techniques for estimating infiltration parameters are generally too intensive in measurement and computation for routine ...

Impact of overland flow on soil characteristics in Třebsín experimental plots

open access: yesSoil and Water Research, 2017
This paper describes the continuation of simulated outcomes from the plots No. 4 and No. 5 with two different soils, using the KINFIL model to assess the runoff from extreme rainfall. The KINFIL model is a physically-based, parameter-distributed 3D model

Metastasis on pause: How dormant tumor cells stay hidden within the tumor microenvironment and evade immune surveillance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

Real-time prediction of soil infiltration characteristics for the management of furrow irrigation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The spatial and temporal variations commonly found in the infiltration characteristic for surface-irrigated fields are a major physical constraint to achieve higher irrigation application efficiencies.

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

CFD-DEM simulation of slurry particle infiltration in granular soils [PDF]

open access: yes
Over recent decades, the slurry pressure balance (SPB) method has gained popularity due to its safety, efficiency, and environmental advantages, especially in undersea and river-crossing tunnels with high groundwater pressures. By employing a pressurised

The effect of polyacrylamide additions on the infiltration and erosion of disturbed lands [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
The removal of vegetation and disturbance of the soil surface due to a range of human activities results in the potential for soil structure degradation and sediment movement.

Supramolecular self-assembled graphitic carbon nitride catalyst: A comprehensive review on design principle, synthesis strategy, functionalization and application

open access: yesNano Materials Science
Graphitic carbon nitride (g-CN) stands out as the most promising candidate for solar energy conversion owing to its easy preparation, metal-free nature, flexible molecular structure, moderate bandgap, and excellent thermal/chemical stability.

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...
