Divergence of multivector fields on infinite-dimensional manifolds

open access: yesUkrains’kyi Matematychnyi Zhurnal, 2023
UDC 514.763.2+515.164.17 We study the divergence of multivector fields on Banach manifolds with a Radon measure.  We propose an infinite-dimensional version of divergence consistent with the classical divergence from  finite-dimensional differential geometry.

Microstructural Evolution and Vacancy Defect Formation in Mn–Mo–Ni RPV Steel Under Low Cycle Fatigue: Insights From EBSD and PALS

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐cycle fatigue damage in Mn–Mo–Ni reactor pressure vessel steel is examined using a combined electron backscatter diffraction and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy approach. The study correlates texture evolution, dislocation substructure development, and vacancy‐type defect formation across uniform, necked, and fracture regions, providing

Infinite loop superalgebras of the Dirac theory on the Euclidean Taub-NUT space

open access: yes, 2007
The Dirac theory in the Euclidean Taub-NUT space gives rise to a large collection of conserved operators associated to genuine or hidden symmetries. They are involved in interesting algebraic structures as dynamical algebras or even infinite-dimensional ...

Unique Performance Considerations for Printable Organic Semiconductor and Perovskite Radiation Detectors: Toward Consensus on Best Practice Evaluation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A lack of standard approaches for testing and reporting the performance of metal halide perovskites and organic semiconductor radiation detectors has resulted in inconsistent interpretation of performance parameters, impeding progress in the field. This Perspective recommends key metrics and experimental details, which are suggested for reporting in ...

M5 from M2

open access: yes, 2008
Recently an action based on Lie 3-algebras was proposed to describe M2-branes. We study the case of infinite dimensional Lie 3-algebras based on the Nambu-Poisson structure of three dimensional manifolds.

Understanding and Optimizing Li Substitution in P2‐Type Sodium Layered Oxides for Sodium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work explores Li‐substituted P2 layered oxides for Na‐ion batteries by crystallographic and electrochemical studies. The effect of lithium on superstructure orderings, on phase transitions during synthesis and electrochemical cycling and on the interplay of O‐ versus TM‐redox is revealed via various advanced techniques, including semi‐simultaneous

Quantum Emitters in Hexagonal Boron Nitride: Principles, Engineering and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Quantum emitters in hexagonal boron nitride have emerged as a promising candidate for quantum information science. This review examines the fundamentals of these quantum emitters, including their level structures, defect engineering, and their possible chemical structures.

Differentiability in Fréchet spaces and delay differential equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2019
In infinite-dimensional spaces there are non-equivalent notions of continuous differentiability which can be used to derive the familiar results of calculus up to the Implicit Function Theorem and beyond.

Mechanical Properties of Architected Polymer Lattice Materials: A Comparative Study of Additive Manufacturing and CAD Using FEM and µ‐CT

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study examines how pore shape and manufacturing‐induced deviations affect the mechanical properties of 3D‐printed lattice materials with constant porosity. Combining µ‐CT analysis, FEM, and compression testing, the authors show that structural imperfections reduce stiffness and strength, while bulk material inhomogeneities probably enhance ...

On infinite-dimensional Cantor manifolds

open access: yesTopology and its Applications, 1996
An infinite-dimensional Cantor manifold is an infinite-dimensional compact space which cannot be separated by any finite-dimensional subspace. So the Hilbert cube is a trivial example of an infinite-dimensional Cantor manifold. In this interesting paper the author presents an example of a weakly infinite-dimensional compact space which cannot be ...
