Infinite impulse response notch filter
A pipeline technique by Loomis and Sinha has been applied to the design of recursive digital filters. Recursive digital filters operating at hitherto impossibly high rates can be designed by this technique. An alternate technique by R. Gnanasekaran allows high speed implementation using the state-space structure directly.

Peculiarities of digital infinite impulse response filters design
Digital filtering is very important in systems, which require minimal physical space and low power consumption. Example is system of physiological parameters monitoring in a real time. Infinite impulse response filters are widely used where linear phase are not critical, because of calculation efficiency.
