Infinite Impulse Response (IIR) Filter
2017This chapter deals with the method of converting the impulse response of the filter in the continuous domain into the one in discrete domain. It deals with Impulse invariant method, Bilinear transformation method and the method of realizing the IIR filter using Direct form-I and Direct form-II.

Complex chebyshev approximation for infinite impulse response digital filters
Electronics and Communications in Japan (Part III: Fundamental Electronic Science), 1996AbstractIn this paper, a new Chebyshev approximation (amplitude and phase simulataneous approximation) method for IIR digital filters is proposed. the proposed algorithm is based on the Remez algorithm. By solving the eigenvalue problem at each iteration, the frequency characteristic of the filter is interpolated so that the error function in the ...

Globally convergent adaptive filters with infinite impulse responses
IEEE International Conference on Acoustics Speech and Signal Processing, 1993A class of adaptive filters is considered in which the filters have infinite impulse responses, yet their adaptation is provably convergent. This class is a compromise between adaptive pole/zero filters and the standard adaptive finite impulse response (FIR) filter, and is obtained simply by fixing the pole locations for the adaptive filter.

Nonlinear Dynamics from Infinite Impulse Response Matched Filters
2017Standard methods of communication theory are used to derive optimal waveforms for transmitting information through noise using infinite impulse response matched filters as receivers. In two examples, the derived optimal communication waveforms are chaotic.

High-Order Infinite Impulse Response Microwave Photonic Filters
Journal of Lightwave Technology, 2011Two new high-order infinite impulse response microwave photonic filters, which have multiple poles and zeros in the transfer characteristic, are presented. They are based on either the wavelength division multiplexing technique with a single infinite impulse response delay line structure or a single laser with multiple infinite impulse response delay ...

Infinite Impulse Response (IIR) Digital Filters
2001In Chap. 3 we introduced the FIR filter. The most important properties that make the FIR attractive (+) or unattractive (−) for selective applications include: FIR linear-phase performance is easily achieved. Multiband filters are possible. The Kaiser window method allows iterative-free design.

INFINITE IMPULSE RESPONSE DIGITAL FILTER FOR PULSE SIGNAL PERIODS
2021This article describes a new kind of IIR (Infinite Impulse Response) digital filter, which is intended for the filtering of impulse periods. This filter is by nature a Frequency Locked Loop (FLL), which is based on the measurement and processing of the input and output periods. The paper shows how a digital filter can be designed from one FLL using the
