The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Deformaciones isométricas infinitesimales de una clase de superficies pegadas

open access: yesRevista de Matemática: Teoría y Aplicaciones, 2009
In this work the sufficient condition of rigidity of a stuck 4-dimensional surface in the Euclidean 6-dimensional space is demonstrated. This surface represents in himself, the product of Riemann of two surfaces, each one of which it is in the Euclidean ...

On cohomology of the Lie superalgebra D(2, 1 ; \alpha)

open access: yes, 2010
We describe the infinitesimal deformations of the standard embedding of the Lie superalgebra $D(2, 1 ; \alpha)$ into the Poisson superalgebra of pseudodifferential symbols on $S^{1|2}$.

Conserved structural motifs in PAS, LOV, and CRY proteins regulate circadian rhythms and are therapeutic targets

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.

An infinitesimal model for quantitative trait genomic value prediction. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2012
We developed a marker based infinitesimal model for quantitative trait analysis. In contrast to the classical infinitesimal model, we now have new information about the segregation of every individual locus of the entire genome.

Note on the Equivalence of Special Norms on the Lebesgue Space

open access: yesAxioms, 2021
In this paper, we consider a norm based on the infinitesimal generator of the shift semigroup in a direction. The relevance of such a focus is guaranteed by an abstract representation of a uniformly elliptic operator by means of a composition of the ...

Infinitesimal rigidity of convex surfaces through the second derivative of the Hilbert-Einstein functional II: Smooth case [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The paper is centered around a new proof of the infinitesimal rigidity of smooth closed surfaces with everywhere positive Gauss curvature. We use a reformulation that replaces deformation of an embedding by deformation of the metric inside the body ...

Infinitesimal Chow dilogarithm

open access: yesJournal of Algebraic Geometry, 2019
LetC2C_{2}be a smooth and projective curve over the ring of dual numbers of a fieldk.k.Given non-zero rational functionsf,g,f,g,andhhonC2,C_{2},we define an invariantρ(f∧g∧h)∈k.\rho (f\wedge g \wedge h) \in k.This is an analog of the real analytic Chow dilogarithm and the extension to non-linear cycles of the additive dilogarithm of [Algebra Number ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

On infinitesimal holomorphically projective transformations on the tangent bundles with respect to the Sasaki metric; pp. 149–157 [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Estonian Academy of Sciences, 2011
The purpose of the present article is to find solutions to a system of partial differential equations that characterize infinitesimal holomorphically projective transformations on the tangent bundle with the Sasaki metric and an adapted almost complex ...
