Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

A homing problem for diffusion processes with control-dependent variance

open access: yes, 2004
Controlled one-dimensional diffusion processes, with infinitesimal variance (instead of the infinitesimal mean) depending on the control variable, are considered in an interval located on the positive half-line. The process is controlled until it reaches

Basroparib inhibits YAP‐driven cancers by stabilizing angiomotin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Basroparib, a selective tankyrase inhibitor, suppresses Wnt signaling and attenuates YAP‐driven oncogenic programs by stabilizing angiomotin. It promotes AMOT–YAP complex formation, enforces cytoplasmic YAP sequestration, inhibits YAP/TEAD transcription, and sensitizes YAP‐active cancers, including KRAS‐mutant colorectal cancer, to MEK inhibition.

A Note on the Newman-Unti Group and the BMS Charge Algebra in Terms of Newman-Penrose Coefficients

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics, 2012
The symmetry algebra of asymptotically flat spacetimes at null infinity in four dimensions in the sense of Newman and Unti is revisited. As in the Bondi-Metzner-Sachs gauge, it is shown to be isomorphic to the direct sum of the abelian algebra of ...

Crystal frameworks, symmetry and affinely periodic flexes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Symmetry equations are obtained for the rigidity matrices associated with various forms of infinitesimal flexibility for an idealised bond-node crystal framework $\C$ in $\bR^d$.

Infinitesimal Hecke algebras

open access: yesComptes Rendus. Mathématique, 2003
In this Note, we define infinitesimal analogues of the Iwahori–Hecke algebras associated with finite Coxeter groups. These are reductive Lie algebras for which we announce several decomposition results. These decompositions yield irreducibility results for representations of the corresponding (pure) generalized braid groups deduced from Hecke algebra ...

Autophagosome marker, LC3, is released extracellularly via several distinct pathways

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This study establishes a novel HiBiT‐tagging system for ultrasensitive detection of LC3, revealing multiple pathways for its extracellular secretion. It demonstrates that LC3 is released via both autophagy‐dependent and ‐independent mechanisms, including a novel route for nonlipidated LC3‐I.

Affine transformations of the tangent bundle with a complete lift connection over a manifold with a linear connection of special type

open access: yesДифференциальная геометрия многообразий фигур, 2021
The theory of tangent bundles over a differentiable manifold M belongs to the geometry and topology of manifolds and is an intensively developing area of the theory of fiber spaces. The foundations of the theory of fibered spaces were laid in the works

Basilar Artery Occlusion Stroke Managed With Tenecteplase Versus Alteplase Before Endovascular Treatment (BAO‐TNK)

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To compare the effectiveness and safety of tenecteplase (TNK) versus alteplase (TPA) in patients with basilar artery occlusion prior to endovascular treatment (EVT). Methods In this retrospective multicenter study (BAO‐TNK), we analyzed consecutive BAO patients from 14 U.S.
