Some sharp Sobolev regularity for inhomogeneous infinity Laplace equation in plane
Suppose $ \Subset \mathbb R^2$ and $f\in BV_{loc}( )\cap C^0( )$ with $|f|>0$ in $ $. Let $u\in C^0( )$ be a viscosity solution to the inhomogeneous $\infty$-Laplace equation $$ - _{\infty} u :=-\frac12\sum_{i=1}^2(|Du|^2)_iu_i= -\sum_{i,j=1}^2u_iu_ju_{ij} =f \quad {\rm in}\ . $$ The following are proved in this paper. (i) For $ > 3/2$,

Finite difference methods for the Infinity Laplace and
We build convergent discretizations and semi-implicit solvers for the Infinity Laplacian and the game theoretical $p$-Laplacian. The discretizations simplify and generalize earlier ones. We prove convergence of the solution of the Wide Stencil finite difference schemes to the unique viscosity solution of the underlying equation.

ABSTRACT In privacy protection of control systems, a trade‐off between control performance and privacy level is often pointed out. Our goal in this paper is to improve this trade‐off by shaping the frequency of noise added for privacy protection when the control objective is to track a reference signal, which is taken as a piece of information whose ...

An algebraic criterion for the onset of chaos in nonlinear dynamic systems [PDF]
The correspondence between iterated integrals and a noncommutative algebra is used to recast the given dynamical system from the time domain to the Laplace-Borel transform domain.

Initial State Privacy of Nonlinear Systems on Riemannian Manifolds
ABSTRACT In this paper, we investigate initial state privacy protection for discrete‐time nonlinear closed systems. By capturing Riemannian geometric structures inherent in such privacy challenges, we refine the concept of differential privacy through the introduction of an initial state adjacency set based on Riemannian distances.

Mesh‐Based Charge Simulation Method and Its Applications to Electrostatic Electric Field Computation
ABSTRACT The charge simulation method (CSM) is a well‐established numerical technique employed in electrostatic field calculations, primarily due to its simplicity and computational efficiency. However, conventional CSM face challenges when applied to complex geometries, as they necessitate meticulous manual placement of simulation charges and matching

Boundary differentiability for inhomogeneous infinity Laplace equations
Summary: We study the boundary regularity of the solutions to inhomogeneous infinity Laplace equations. We prove that if \(u\in C(\bar{\Omega})\) is a viscosity solution to \(\Delta_{\infty}u:=\sum_{i,j=1}^n u_{x_i}u_{x_j}u_{x_ix_j}=f\) with \(f\in C(\Omega)\cap L^{\infty}(\Omega)\) and for \(x_0\in \partial\Omega\) both \(\partial\Omega\) and \(g:=u|_{

A Bayes factor framework for unified parameter estimation and hypothesis testing
Abstract The Bayes factor, the data‐based updating factor of the prior to posterior odds of two hypotheses, is a natural measure of statistical evidence for one hypothesis over the other. We show how Bayes factors can also be used for parameter estimation.
