Delivery of Molecular Hydrogen for Precision Immunomodulation: Mechanisms, Detection Methods, and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review focuses on the immunomodulatory mechanisms of molecular hydrogen, the recent detection methods, and the classification advanced molecular hydrogen delivery materials. It provides a detailed description of their applications in areas such as arthritis, chronic wounds, cardiovascular injury, tumors, and bacterial infections, aiming to enhance

Novel Antimicrobial Protein Fibroblast Growth Factor 8 Accelerates Skin Wound Healing via Directly Inhibiting Bacteria and Activating Glycolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Wound infections induce gcFGF8a expression, which subsequently executes direct antimicrobial activity to suppress local infection while simultaneously activating the FGFR4‐mediated ERK/AKT‐mTOR signaling cascade, thereby upregulating HIF1α and enhancing glycolysis. These coordinated actions synergistically promote tissue repair by eliminating pathogens

ACSS2‐Mediated Histone H4 Lysine 12 Crotonylation (H4K12cr) Alleviates Colitis via Enhancing Transcription of CLDN7

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Histone lysine crotonylation (Kcr) is a highly conserved posttranslational modification implicated with crucial biological processes. This study reveals that ACSS2‐mediated H4K12cr upregulated CLDN7 transcription to strengthen intestinal epithelial barrier.

Intestinal Epithelial‐Derived USP13 Alleviates Colonic Inflammation by Suppressing GRP78‐mediated Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
USP13 deficiency in intestinal epithelial cells aggravates DSS‐induced colitis by enhancing ER stress and apoptosis. USP13 interacts with GRP78 and reduces its K63‐linked ubiquitination to alleviate epithelial injury. Restoring USP13 expression or targeting the USP13‐GRP78 axis may represent a promising strategy for treating inflammatory bowel disease ...
