An In Situ Curing, Shear‐Responsive Biomaterial Designed for Durable Embolization of Microvasculature

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
NeoCast is a next‐generation, solvent‐free, non‐adhesive liquid embolic designed for indications where deep occlusion is desired (e.g., tumors and chronic subdural hematoma). This novel agent offers ideal embolic properties: injectability, controllability, excellent visibility, and biocompatibility.

Diet influences survival and growth of intensively reared larval saugeye (Sander vitreus × Sander canadensis)

open access: yesAquaculture, Fish and Fisheries, Volume 2, Issue 6, Page 450-457, December 2022., 2022
Abstract We evaluated the performance of five commercial microstarter diets (Otohime, Gemma Micro, Gemma Wean, Optimal Starter, and Omega One Fry) fed to first feeding larval saugeye Sander vitreus × Sander canadensis. Triplicate tanks of 2500 larvae (initial weight: 2.6 ± 0.6 mg) were stocked at 4 days post‐hatch (DPH) and fed treatment diets for 4 ...

Inflation in the warm and cold regimes [PDF]

open access: yesGrav.Cosmol. 11 (2005) 51-61, 2006
It is now understood that inflation dynamics comes in two forms, isentropic or cold inflation and nonisentropic or warm inflation. In the former, inflation occurs without radiation production, whereas in the latter both radiation production and inflation occur concurrently.

The changing dynamics of US inflation persistence : a quantile regression approach : [Version 4 September 2012] [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We examine both the degree and the structural stability of inflation persis tence at different quantiles of the conditional inflation distribution.

Issues on Generating Primordial Anisotropies at the End of Inflation

open access: yes, 2012
We revisit the idea of generating primordial anisotropies at the end of inflation in models of inflation with gauge fields. To be specific we consider the charged hybrid inflation model where the waterfall field is charged under a U(1) gauge field so the

Non‐Surgical, In‐Stent Membrane Bioelectronics for Long‐Term Intracranial Pressure Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This image shows a sequence of long‐term intracranial pressure monitoring using non‐surgical, in‐stent membrane bioelectronics. Abstract Traditional intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring methods, using intraventricular catheters, face significant limitations, including high invasiveness, discrete data, calibration complexities, and drift issues, which

Does agroecosystem management mitigate historic climate impacts on dryland winter wheat yields?

open access: yesAgronomy Journal, Volume 114, Issue 6, Page 3515-3530, November/December 2022., 2022
Abstract Global studies that quantify climate effects on crop yields using top‐down spatial frameworks are invaluable for assessing generalized effects on world food supplies, yet do not contain the resolution necessary to identify local mediating effects of management. Our objectives were to identify (a) what climate factors have historically affected

Evaluating core inflation measures: A statistical inference approach

open access: yesLatin American Journal of Central Banking, 2023
We propose a framework for consistently evaluating core inflation measures via a straightforward application of sound statistical inference principles. Under this framework, inflation measures (both headline and core) are regarded as estimators tracking ...

Determinants of Inflation Expectations in the Euro Area

open access: yesIntereconomics, 2022
Euro area inflation has been rising strongly in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, giving rise to concerns that there could be second-round effects, with higher inflation leading to higher inflation expectations, which in turn lead to higher inflation ...

WMAP and inflation

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2003
We assay how inflationary models whose properties are dominated by the dynamics of a single scalar field are constrained by cosmic microwave background (CMB) data from the Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP). We classify inflationary models in a plane defined by the horizon-flow parameters.
