Effect of initial condition of inflation on power and angular power spectra in finite slow-roll inflation [PDF]
The effect of the initial condition of inflation on the power spectra of scalar and tensor perturbations is estimated assuming a slow-roll inflation model. By defining a more general initial state in inflation particular properties of the power spectrum such as oscillation can be revealed.

Inflation and relative price variability in the Euro area : evidence from a panel threshold model [PDF]
In recent macroeconomic theory, relative price variability (RPV) generates the central distortions of inflation. This paper provides first evidence on the empirical relation between inflation and RPV in the euro area focusing on threshold effects of ...

This work presents a method to print multi‐layer elastomer structures containing liquid cavities, where the fluid is incorporated as part of the printing process by freezing it, thus avoiding the conventional final filling step. We demonstrate this process by fabricating and characterizing dense arrays of zipping electrostatic actuators.

Is it Time to Reassess the Focal Role of Core PCE Inflation in Assessing the Trend in PCE Inflation?
“Core” PCE inflation—that is, inflation in PCE-ex-food-and-energy—is widely used as an estimate of trend inflation. But it is long overdue for replacement. The original rationale of core inflation was to remove volatile items with transitory shocks. But

A Beating‐Heart Procedure with Soft Robotic Guidance
Robot‐assisted pacemaker lead placement through the coronary sinus enabled cardiac pacing in multiple in vivo studies. When compared with conventional clinical tools, the robot reduced procedural time, duration of harmful radiation exposure, and the possibility of tissue damage.

Inflation and Inflation Uncertainty Nexus in Kuwait: A GARCH Modeling Approach
In the this paper, we analyze the causality between inflation and inflation uncertainty in Kuwait . The monthly Consumer Price Index (CPI) during the period from January 1992 to September 2016 has been used to measure inflation. The inflation uncertainty

Length of inflation and WMAP data in the case of power-law inflation [PDF]
The effect of the length of inflation on the power spectra of scalar and tensor perturbations is estimated using the power-law inflation model with a scale factor of a(t) = t^q. Considering various pre-inflation models with radiation-dominated or matter-dominated periods before inflation in combination with two matching conditions, the power spectrum ...

Chaotic hybrid new inflation in supergravity with a running spectral index
We propose an inflation model in supergravity, in which chaotic and hybrid inflation occurs successively, followed by new inflation. During hybrid inflation, adiabatic fluctuations with a running spectral index with $\ns >1$ on a large scale and $\ns

Data is generated from finite element simulations and an encoding using a Moore domain. The data is then used to train a meta‐model to predict the soft unit's deformation state depending on its chamber shape and properties as well as the surrounding environment.
