Disformal inflation [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2004
We show how short inflation naturally arises in a non-minimal gravity theory with a scalar field without any potential terms. This field drives inflation solely by its derivatives, which couple to the matter only through the combination $\bar g_{ } = g_{ } - \frac{1}{m^4} \partial_ \partial_ $. The theory is free of instabilities around the

Electrical Stimulation Therapy – Dedicated to the Perfect Plastic Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review discusses various types of electrical stimulation sources and materials, delving into the roles and mechanisms of electrical stimulation therapy in plastic surgery for tissue repair. This work broadens the clinical perspective of electrical stimulation, covering diverse repair needs from bone to soft tissues, and provides insights into ...

Investor attention and consumer price index inflation rate: Evidence from the United States

open access: yesHumanities & Social Sciences Communications
Explaining and forecasting inflation are important and challenging tasks because inflation is one focus of macroeconomics. This paper introduces novel investor attention to the field of inflation for the first time.

New D-term chaotic inflation in supergravity and leptogenesis

open access: yes, 2008
We present a new model of D-term dominated chaotic inflation in supergravity. The F-flat direction present in this model is lifted by the dominant D-term, which leads to chaotic inflation and subsequent reheating.

PRMT1 Ablation in Endothelial Cells Causes Endothelial Dysfunction and Aggravates COPD Attributable to Dysregulated NF‐κB Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study investigates the role of protein arginine methyltransferase 1 (PRMT1) in endothelial cells (ECs) in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Mice with endothelial‐specific PRMT1 deletion develop pulmonary hemorrhage, inflammation, and apoptosis, driven by excessive nuclear factor kappa B activation.

Solving the puzzle of China’s low inflation: A new perspective from sectoral core inflation fluctuations

open access: yesTechnological and Economic Development of Economy
China’s constantly rapid economic growth accompanying by a low overall inflation has long been mysterious in macroeconomics. The core purpose of this paper is to solve this puzzle.

An international comparison of inflation credibility surveys

open access: yesSouth African Journal of Economic and Management Sciences, 2013
This paper analyses the methodology used in assessing inflation credibility (i.e. perceptions of the accuracy of historical inflation rates) in countries targeting inflation, and compares the approaches used in New Zealand, South Africa and Sweden.

Generality of inflation in closed FRW models [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2003
We investigate the generality of inflation in closed FRW models for a wide class of quintessence potentials. It is shown that inflation is not suppressed for most of them for a wide class of their parameters. This allows us to decide if inflation is common even in case of a closed universe.

Initial Conditions for Vector Inflation

open access: yes, 2008
Recently, a model of inflation using non-minimally coupled massive vector fields has been proposed. For a particular choice of non-minimal coupling parameter and for a flat FRW model, the model is reduced to the model of chaotic inflation with massive ...
