Combining antibody conjugates with cytotoxic and immune‐stimulating payloads maximizes anti‐cancer activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Methods to improve antibody–drug conjugate (ADC) treatment durability in cancer therapy are needed. We utilized ADCs and immune‐stimulating antibody conjugates (ISACs), which are made from two non‐competitive antibodies, to enhance the entry of toxic payloads into cancer cells and deliver immunostimulatory agents into immune cells.

A field study of manhole cover leakage

open access: yesWater Science and Technology
Leaking manhole covers add inflow to sanitary sewer systems. These are the most accessible components of the sewer system, and so potentially the cheapest to repair or modify, to reduce inflow.

Chaos-generalized regression neural network prediction model of mine water inflow

open access: yesSN Applied Sciences, 2021
Artificial neural network (ANN) provides a new way for mine water inflow prediction. However, the effectiveness of prediction using ANN model would not be guaranteed if the influencing factors of water inflow are difficult to quantify or there are only a

The photoswitchable cannabinoid azo‐HU308 enables optical control of Ca2+ dynamics in INS‐1 β‐cells via off‐target effects on TRPC channels

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Light activation of the photoswitchable cannabinoid ligand azo‐HU308 triggers Ca2+ influx in pancreatic β‐cells through TRPC channels, independent of CB2 cannabinoid receptors. This reveals a non‐GPCR pathway for cannabinoid modulation of β‐cell Ca2+ dynamics and establishes azo‐HU308 as an optical tool to study cannabinoid signaling through TRP ...

An Increase in the Energy Efficiency of Vortex Micro HPP with a Flexible Outlet Siphon by Self-Adjustment of Flows in the Pressure Chamber

open access: yesЖурнал інженерних наук
The article aims to increase the energy efficiency of the vortex micro-power plant, which would be achieved due to its compatibility with the terrain. In particular, the inlet channel connected to the water intake of the pressure chamber and the water ...

ANALYSIS OF LARGE-SCALE CIRCULATION OF THE ATMOSPHERE BY DATA OF REMOTE SENSING OF THE EARTH FROM SPACE

open access: yesНаука. Инновации. Технологии, 2022
Introduction: a general description of the water cycle in nature or the hydrological cycle, consisting of evaporation, condensation and precipitation, is too simple to explain the high degree of complexity of the phenomena involved.

ATP13A2 is involved in intracellular polyamine transport in lung epithelial cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Spermidine transport in lung epithelial cells involves the polyamine transporter ATP13A2. Cell proliferation is associated with the upregulation of ATP13A2. Polyamines are present in all living cells and are implicated in various crucial cellular processes such as proliferation, apoptosis and autophagy.

Inflow Mechanism for Hydrodynamic Entropy [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2018
We argue that entropy production in hydrodynamics can be understood via a superspace inflow mechanism. Our arguments are based on a recently developed formalism for constructing effective actions for Schwinger-Keldysh observables in quantum field theories. The formalism explicitly incorporates microscopic unitarity and the Kubo-Martin-Schwinger thermal

TMC4 localizes to multiple taste cell types in the mouse taste papillae

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Transmembrane channel‐like 4 (TMC4), a voltage‐dependent chloride channel, plays a critical role in amiloride‐insensitive salty taste transduction. TMC4 is broadly expressed in all mature taste cell types, suggesting a possible involvement of multiple cell types in this pathway.
