Pavement Primary Response Using Influence Function and Peak Influence Function

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2012
It was identified in previous research that errors in theoretical damage much associated with the influence function calculation. Thus, this paper present the efficient prediction of primary response due to dynamic vehicle loading using influence function and peak influence function approach. In order to provide the realistic loading condition, dynamic

Influence functional and closed-time-path Green's function

Physical Review B, 1988
In this Brief Report, we explicitly show the equivalence of the Feynman-Vernon influence-functional approach and the path-integral formulation of the Schwinger-Keldysh closed-time-path Green's function. The latter simplifies the practical calculations considerably with a systematic diagrammatic technique and is expected to have a broader application.

Functional Self-Efficacy Beliefs Influence Functional Capacity Evaluation

Journal of Occupational Rehabilitation, 2007
The relationship between functional self-efficacy and Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) lift performance was examined in workers' compensation claimants' with low back pain.A cross-sectional design was used. Forty-two claimants with back pain and 38 subjects without back pain were enrolled.

Hormonal Influence on Auditory Function

Ear and Hearing, 1980
This study examined whether female subjects who had balanced hormonal profiles and who were experiencing the characteristic fluctuation in estrogen and progesterone levels exhibited changes in auditory function unlike subjects who were using a low-dose combined estrogen and progesterone steroid.

Tool Influence Functions

2014
This chapter investigates the tool influence functions (TIFs) and analyzes relevant assessment criteria from the aspect of removal capability. Then, with respect to different optical surfacing systems, TIF theoretical models were constructed and validated by experiments.

Optomechanical Influence Functions

2016
In the mechanical engineering of optical systems, the preferred position, orientation, and size of the image are determined by the optical designer. It is the mechanical engineer’s responsibility to locate all of the elements in the system with sufficient accuracy to maintain the optical designer’s intentions.

Output distributional influence function

IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 2001
When a filter is being selected for an application, it is often essential to know that the behavior of the filter does not change significantly if there are small deviations from the initial assumptions. This robustness of a filter is traditionally explored by means of the influence function (IF) and change-of-variance function (CVF). However, as these

Estimators of Influence Function

Communications in Statistics - Theory and Methods, 2006
ABSTRACT This article discusses estimators of influence function with some new counter-examples and tries to uphold their usefulness mathematically as well as through simulation. It is suggested that some estimators of influence function of uniformly Frechet differentiable functional has more desirable properties.

Toxic Influences on Platelet Function

1991
An acquired modification of platelet function is considered to be “toxic”, when drugs or other chemicals interfere with the haemostatic potential of platelets but are not administered with the intention to treat disturbances in hemostasis. These unwanted platelet defects might either be inhibitory and clinically result in a prolonged bleeding time or ...
