An ’Ekistics’ for Information and Communication Technologies
This chapter attempts to draw parallels between Professor Gunilla Bradley’s Convergence Model and the body of work by a now seemingly obscure architect and urban planner, Constantinos A. Doxiadis. Doxiadis developed the theory of ’Ekistics’ as an attempt to systematize the analysis of ’human settlements’, his general term for intentional habitats of ...

On‐Chip Saturated Absorption of CO2 in a Silicon‐on‐Sapphire Waveguide
We demonstrate the first saturated absorption of a molecular gas on a planar photonic chip. By coupling carbon dioxide with the tightly confined light of a silicon‐on‐sapphire waveguide, we achieve optical saturation using only milliwatt powers. This breakthrough provides a practical, low‐power foundation for creating ultra‐compact mid‐infrared ...

This work presents two MR‐TADF emitters, BINAP‐BN1 and BINAP‐BN2, based on a BINAP core and differing numbers of tCzBN units. Both emitters show similar solution photophysics, but distinct behavior in doped films, where BINAP‐BN1 exhibits higher photoluminescence quantum yield and suppressed aggregation‐induced emission broadening compared to BINAP‐BN2.

Aerosol Jet Printed Polymer‐Free High Aspect Ratio Quantum Dot Films for Enhanced Color Conversion
Polymer‐free quantum dot color conversion layers are aerosol jet printed at high aspect ratio by tuning the aerosol focus ratio to induce in‐flight droplet drying. Contact‐line pinning suppresses lateral spreading, enabling ∼10 µm‐thick films at ∼50 µm widths with blue light leakage below 0.25% and conversion efficiency approaching 18%, demonstrated ...

Positional isomerism in dibenzofuran‐based n‐type hosts modulates molecular polarity, charge‐transport balance, and emissive‐layer packing. The higher‐polarity BFPDB‐2 host facilitates efficient energy funneling, reduced aggregation, and preferential dipole orientation, leading to phosphor‐sensitized fluorescence OLEDs with enhanced external quantum ...

The article describes an alteration of the traditional method of input-output feedback linearization by applying a linear-nonlinear decomposition of a system. The modified method makes it possible to obtain an equivalent linear model of the system in the

Spectral Sharpening of Color Sensors: Diagonal Color Constancy and Beyond
It has now been 20 years since the seminal work by Finlayson et al. on the use of spectral sharpening of sensors to achieve diagonal color constancy. Spectral sharpening is still used today by numerous researchers for different goals unrelated to the ...
