Repeated Leader Follower Game for Managing Cloud Networks With Limited Resources

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Virtual resource arbitration, adjustment, and migration are techniques used by infrastructure providers (InPs) to manage limited resources and maximize revenue by serving as many virtual network operators (VNOs) as possible.

When Cubic is Not Isotropic: Phonon–Exciton Decoupling in CuInSnS4 Single Crystals

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A cubic CuInSnS4 crystal does not fully play by cubic rules. While phonons follow the average iso‐tropic lattice symmetry, the disorder‐localized excitons break away, showing strong, and reproduci‐ble polarization‐dependent emission. This work shows how intrinsic cation disorder can turn a mac‐roscopically cubic material into a source of hidden ...

Information and Communication Technology

open access: yesSAMRIDDHI : A Journal of Physical Sciences, Engineering and Technology, 2011
This approach is the complete contrast with the conventional methods of education and entrepreneurship development but requires the candidates to have ICT literacy and interest in self-improvement. Need and urgency of educating large masses can not be under estimated, when the country is poised for rapid growth.

Machine Learning Enables Inverse Design of Optically Driven Microscopic Metavehicles

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Machine‐learning‐based inverse design is used optimize “metavehicles” — flat microparticles based on metagratings that generate a strong lateral optical force from normally incident light. The optimized design exhibits a force efficiency of ∼88% and a measured propulsion speed in water much higher than previously reported, demonstrating that inverse ...

An ’Ekistics’ for Information and Communication Technologies

open access: yes, 2011
This chapter attempts to draw parallels between Professor Gunilla Bradley’s Convergence Model and the body of work by a now seemingly obscure architect and urban planner, Constantinos A. Doxiadis. Doxiadis developed the theory of ’Ekistics’ as an attempt to systematize the analysis of ’human settlements’, his general term for intentional habitats of ...

Mono‐ and Bilayer MoS2 Photodetectors: High‐Performance Broadband AC Readout With Color‐Selective Noise Suppression

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Mono‐ and bilayer MoS2 photodetectors enable wavelength‐selective AC photoresponse and optically driven capacitance modulation under visible illumination. Green excitation produces the strongest cumulative capacitive response, consistent with trap‐mediated charge accumulation at mono/bilayer and metal–MoS2 interfaces.

High-Speed Wavelength Resource Reconfiguration System Concurrently Establishing/Removing Multiwavelength Signals

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2016
We propose a novel wavelength resource reconfiguration system with a wavelength selective switch (WSS) and our unique burst-mode erbium-doped fiber amplifier (BM-EDFA) for dynamic and agile new-generation optical networks such as an elastic optical ...
