Empirical Study on the Evaluation Model of Public Satisfaction With Local Government Budget Transparency: A Case From China

open access: yesSAGE Open, 2020
For policymakers across the world, the importance of budget transparency is self-evident. However, most scholars mainly focus on the economic performance of budget transparency while ignoring satisfaction of the public as the recipients of this policy ...

AN EVALUATION OF COST OF PRODUCTION INFORMATION USAGE BY COUNTY AGENTS [PDF]

open access: yes
County agents receive cost of production information primarily from state extension services and then disseminate it to agricultural producers. A survey gathered data on agent usage of this information.

Who controls budgetary process in Croatia? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
The Parliament does not adequately perform its tasks within the budgetary process. This is due to its inferior position to that of the Government, lack of infrastructure, i.e. offices, and funds, as well as budgetary and time constraints.

MXene‐Coated 3D Printed Horn Antennas for Ku Frequency Band

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
An additive manufacturing approach to 3D printing horn antennas and coating them with Ti3C2Tx MXene is proposed. Rapid fabrication of lightweight, high‐performance antennas operating in the Ku‐band (12.4–18 GHz) has been demonstrated. The MXene‐coated antennas exhibit comparable electromagnetic performance to conventional, costly aluminum ones, with ...

Information Gathering with Peers: Submodular Optimization with Peer-Prediction Constraints

open access: yes, 2017
We study a problem of optimal information gathering from multiple data providers that need to be incentivized to provide accurate information. This problem arises in many real world applications that rely on crowdsourced data sets, but where the process ...

A State‐Adaptive Koopman Control Framework for Real‐Time Deformable Tool Manipulation in Robotic Environmental Swabbing

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work presents a state‐adaptive Koopman linear quadratic regulator framework for real‐time manipulation of a deformable swab tool in robotic environmental sampling. By combining Koopman linearization, tactile sensing, and centroid‐based force regulation, the system maintains stable contact forces and high coverage across flat and inclined surfaces.

Information Budget: 12 + 6 + 8 = 10

open access: yes, 2022
The transformation of scientific publishing into Open Access is the impetus for a holistic view of the expenditure both for access to scientific literature and for publishing. What happens in a Publish & Read contract on a small scale must also be the approach overall, in accordance with the demands from funders (German Research Foundation, DFG ...

Dynamic Insurance with Private Information and Balanced Budgets [PDF]

open access: yesThe Review of Economic Studies, 1995
Summary: This paper studies a dynamic insurance problem with bilateral asymmetric information and balanced budgets. There are two infinitely-lived agents in our model, both risk averse, and each as an i.i.d. random endowment stream which is unobservable to the other. In each period, each agent must have a non-negative consumption and together they must

Heuristically Adaptive Diffusion‐Model Evolutionary Strategy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Building on the mathematical equivalence between diffusion models and evolutionary algorithms, researchers demonstrate unprecedented control over evolutionary optimization through conditional diffusion. By training diffusion models to associate parameters with specific traits, they can guide evolution toward solutions exhibiting desired behaviors ...
