Signal accuracy and informational cascades
2005We extend the Bikhchandani, Hirshleifer and Welch (1992) informational cascade framework to allow for asymmetric signal accuracy. Simulations demonstrate that even small departures from symmetry may lead to non-monotonic effects of signal accuracy on the likelihood of an inefficient cascade.

Information Cascade and Phase Transition
2019In this chapter, we discuss a voting model with two candidates. We set two types of voters – herders and independents. The voting of independent voters is based on their fundamental values; on the other hand, the voting of herders is based on the number of votes. Herders always select the majority of the previous r votes, which is visible to them.

Herding and Informational Cascades
2001Abstract Classifies different herding models. Rational herding in sequential decision‐making is either due to payoff externalities or information externalities. In herding models with reputational effects in a principal‐agent setting both types of externalities are present.
