Clinical Validation of Plasma p‐217tau in Neurological Diseases

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Plasma p‐217tau is a minimally invasive but specific biomarker for diagnosing Alzheimer's disease (AD). However, its disease specificity remains to be clinically evaluated. We validated the reliability of the p‐217tau biomarker in 12 other neurological diseases.

Information Entropy

CELESTIAL MECHANICS AND DYNAMICAL ASTRONOMY, 1996
Some of the scientists interested in chaotic phenomena recently revisited their research to the characterization of systems behavior via entropic formulation, but the authors of the present paper are the first to succeed in developing the concept of information entropy in order to obtain an appropriate indicator of chaos. Rigorously and accurate, their

Information and entropy

Physical Review E, 1993
The Landauer cost for erasing information demands that information about a physical system be included in the total entropy, as proposed by Zurek [Nature 341, 119 (1989); Phys. Rev. A 40, 4731 (1989)]. A consequence is that most system states-either classical phase-space distributions or quantum pure states-have total entropy much larger than thermal ...

Information Entropy of Fullerenes

Journal of Chemical Information and Modeling, 2015
The reasons for the formation of the highly symmetric C60 molecule under nonequilibrium conditions are widely discussed as it dominates over numerous similar fullerene structures. In such conditions, evolution of structure rather than energy defines the processes.

Probability, Information and Entropy

Nature, 1970
The claim that information theory provides a foundation for statistical thermodynamics which is independent of the use of ensembles can be sustained only if probabilities can be determined numerically without treating them as frequencies. The use of Shannon's measure of information to assign probabilities is correct only in the same conditions as ...

Entropy, Probability and Information

International Statistical Review / Revue Internationale de Statistique, 1973
Summary: A historical account is given of the development of the concepts of entropy, communication theory and their relation to statistical information. There are many misunderstandings about the nature of information as often defined in statistical theory and an attempt is made to remove them.

Information and Entropy

1977
Two concepts which appear frequently in the description of dynamic systems are information and entropy. In view of their nature these concepts are rather difficult to place in the context of the preceding chapters. A concept such as entropy can be regarded as a state variable; a definition for information is obviously harder to find.
