Metabolic engineering of adipose‐derived stem cell exosomes via arachidonic acid potentiates diabetic wound repair by orchestrating angiogenesis: A multi‐omics guided strategy

open access: yesVIEW, EarlyView.
AA‐Exos promotes angiogenesis and accelerates diabetic wound healing by activating the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway. Abstract Diabetic wounds are common and challenging complications of diabetes, characterized by delayed healing and an increased risk of infection.

Biomarkers to predict outcomes in diabetic foot ulcers

open access: yesVIEW, EarlyView.
Studies attempting to predict the healing outcome of diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) have investigated various biological materials and recovered molecules that may aid in discriminating wounds that will heal and those that will not heal. This graphical abstract captures the commonly studied classes of biomarkers in the context of DFUs.

Tuning the Photochemistry of Entatic State Model Systems

open access: yesZeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, EarlyView.
We present the photochemistry of the entatic state model [Cu(DMEGqu)2]+/2+, a copper guanidino‐quinoline complex pair. By transient IR and UV/Vis spectroscopy, we obtained the lifetimes of the different excited states. We show that the structural effect of the guanidine tunes the photochemistry of this entatic state model.

Plasticity in parental care: Interspecific competitor cues shape biparental cooperation in a burying beetle

open access: yesJournal of Animal Ecology, EarlyView.
Our study contributes to our understanding of the effects of interspecific competition in species with biparental care where male and female parents must somehow coordinate their response to interspecific competition. Abstract Interspecific competition is an important evolutionary driver of many species' life histories and behaviours, arising wherever ...

The Role of Vaginal Oestrogen Therapy in Postmenopausal Women With Pelvic Organ Prolapse: Does It Have Any Impact on Perioperative Outcomes? A Systematic Review of Randomised Controlled Trials

open access: yesBJOG: An International Journal of Obstetrics &Gynaecology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Pelvic organ prolapse (POP) affects up to 50% of postmenopausal women, negatively impacting sexual function and quality of life. While surgery remains the primary treatment, increasing attention has been given to perioperative vaginal oestrogen therapy and its potential impact on surgical outcomes.

Development and Validation of an Individualized Nomogram to Identify Undifferentiated‐Predominant Mixed‐Type Early Gastric Cancer

open access: yesJournal of Digestive Diseases, EarlyView.
This study identified open‐type atrophic gastritis, flat or depressed morphology, faded appearance, tumor location on the greater curvature or anterior wall, xanthoma, and previous Helicobacter pylori eradication as independent risk factors for undifferentiated‐type‐predominant mixed‐type early gastric cancer (UM‐EGC).
