YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.

Information Seeking Behaviours on the Internet

open access: yesTürk Kütüphaneciliği, 2000
Although the Internet has a rich content in terms of information, users are in trouble while making search on the Internet. In this study we focused on not only studies in the literature about information seeking behaviour on the Internet but also Internet users which have different features and usage patterns.

INFORMATION BEHAVIOUR: GRADUATES’ PATTERN IN SEEKING INFORMATION

open access: yesJurnal Teknologi, 2015
Past researches on students’ information seeking behaviour concluded that students have difficulty in searching the literature and unable to find the required information during the searching processes. The problem must be addressed as students need exposure on the knowledge of information searching and retrieval. This study explores graduate students’

The C‐terminal region of KIF26B is indispensable for nephron progenitor condensation and kidney formation in mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
KIF26B plays an important role in kidney development. We engineered mice lacking the C‐terminal region of KIF26B and found severe kidney defects, including bilateral renal agenesis, similar to full Kif26b knockout mice. The mutation disrupted nephron progenitor condensation and reduced Gdnf‐Wnt11 signaling, showing that the KIF26B C‐terminal region is ...

Molecular characterization of covRS mutations in M1UK Streptococcus pyogenes

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Group A Streptococcus (GAS) acquires covRS mutations driving a hypervirulent bacterial state, frequently associated with invasive disease‐like necrotizing fasciitis. We demonstrate that the newly emerged M1UK GAS lineage can also acquire these mutations.

Information Needs and Information Seeking behaviour in Primary Health Care

open access: yesScandinavian Journal of Primary Health Care, 1989
A questionnaire survey of 186 general practitioners in Sweden showed that 67% saw the overall supply of medical information as less satisfactory or unsatisfactory, and that 80% experienced major hindrances in seeking relevant information.
