The effects of organic cation rotation in hybrid Organic-Inorganic Perovskites: A critical review

open access: yesMaterials & Design, 2022
The emergence of hybrid organic–inorganic perovskites (HOIPs) has made great progress in the photovoltaic (PV) field. In recent years, more and more articles have shown that the modification of organic cations can improve HOIPs’ performance, and a surge ...

Pathogenic Germline PALB2 and RAD50 Variants in Patients With Relapsed Ewing Sarcoma

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Approximately 10% of patients with Ewing sarcoma (EwS) have pathogenic germline variants. Here, we report two cases: first, a novel germline pathogenic variant in partner and localizer of BRCA2 (PALB2) in a patient with a late EwS relapse. Its impact on homologous recombination is demonstrated, and breast cancer risk is discussed.

Evidence for human-centric in-vehicle lighting: Part 2—Modeling illumination based on color-opponents

open access: yesFrontiers in Neuroscience, 2022
Illumination preference models are usually defined in a static scenery, rating common-colored objects by a single scale or semantic differentials. Recently, it was reported that two to three illumination characteristics are necessary to define a high ...

Evaluation of Information Sources in Plastic Surgery Decision-making

open access: yesCureus, 2018
Background Today, patients can access a myriad of information sources regarding plastic surgery procedures prior to meeting with a surgeon. Despite their widespread use, the role of these sources in a patient’s decision-making remains undefined.

Exercise Interventions in Children, Adolescents and Young Adults With Paediatric Bone Tumours—A Systematic Review

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Bone tumours present significant challenges for affected patients, as multimodal therapy often leads to prolonged physical limitations. This is particularly critical during childhood and adolescence, as it can negatively impact physiological development and psychosocial resilience.

DELP Treatment on Vision and Retinal Microcirculation in Patients With Acute Ischemic Stroke: Report of Five Cases and Literature Review

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background The delipid extracorporeal lipoprotein filter from plasma (DELP) treatment can effectively reduce blood lipid, increase blood flow, and improve neurological deficits in patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS). However, its effect on vision and retinal microcirculation in stroke patients has never been reported.

Flat-Top Metasurface Broadband Mushroom Antenna for Microwave Power Transmission

open access: yesIEEE Access
In this paper, a flat-top metasurface broadband mushroom antenna for microwave power transmission (MPT) is proposed. It has a $4\times 4$ array of patches that are connected to the ground through vias to form a mushroom structure to reduce back lobe ...
