Combining melting curve analysis enhances the multiplexing capability of digital PCR. Here, we developed a 14‐plex assay to simultaneously measure single nucleotide mutations and amplifications of KRAS and GNAS, which are common driver genes in pancreatic cancer precursors. This assay accurately quantified variant allele frequencies in clinical samples

Private Information Retrieval from Heterogeneous Uncoded Storage Constrained Databases with Reduced Sub-Messages [PDF]
We propose capacity-achieving schemes for private information retrieval (PIR) from uncoded databases (DBs) with both homogeneous and heterogeneous storage constraints. In the PIR setting, a user queries a set of DBs to privately download a message, where privacy implies that no one DB can infer which message the user desires.

Exploration of heterogeneity and recurrence signatures in hepatocellular carcinoma
This study leveraged public datasets and integrative bioinformatic analysis to dissect malignant cell heterogeneity between relapsed and primary HCC, focusing on intercellular communication, differentiation status, metabolic activity, and transcriptomic profiles.

Integrating ancestry, differential methylation analysis, and machine learning, we identified robust epigenetic signature genes (ESGs) and Core‐ESGs in Black and White women with endometrial cancer. Core‐ESGs (namely APOBEC1 and PLEKHG5) methylation levels were significantly associated with survival, with tumors from high African ancestry (THA) showing ...

Error-Corrected Eternal Lifetime Storage [PDF]
In the information explosion era, the demand for high-density stable storage technologies is soaring. Multi-dimensional optical storage with femtosecond laser writing offers a potential solution for massive data storage. However, equipment instability and reduced voxel resolution inevitably lead to data errors.

Anti‐freezing electrolyte modification strategies toward low‐temperature aqueous zinc‐ion batteries
Due to the availability of zinc resources, and reduced security risks, aqueous zinc‐ion batteries (AZIBs) are potential contenders for next‐generation energy storage systems.
