Multivariate Information Transmission

Psychometrika, 1954
A multivariate analysis based on transmitted information is presented. It is shown that sample transmitted information provides a simple method for measuring and testing association in multi-dimensional contingency tables. Relations with analysis of variance are pointed out, and statistical tests are described.

The transmission of information

2004
The content of this chapter comprises the basics of information transmission, which include some or all of: the information source, encoding the information, transmitting it through a channel, the addition of noise and, finally, receiving and decoding the information.

Information Transmission in Finance

Annual Review of Financial Economics, 2014
Because theories in finance rely critically on what agents know, designing powerful tests of these theories requires measuring information transmission. In this review, I characterize the rapidly growing subfield directly analyzing information in financial markets.

Information transmission by chaotizing†

International Journal of Electronics, 1995
The paper deals with the keying of information in spread spectrum signals by the use of chaotic systems. The chaotizer-dechaotizer concept (Bohme and Schwarz 1995) for continuous and discrete time systems is presented and investigated from a common point of view with respect to working conditions.

Strategic Transmission of Costly Information

Econometrica, 1994
It is often the case that an individual's decision is at least partly based on information received from another. And when the agents' payoffs depend on both the former's decision and on the latter's information, there is an incentive for the informed individual to attempt to bias the decision maker's decision in his or her favor by strategically ...

On the Possibility of Information Transmission

SSRN Electronic Journal, 2014
We study a cheap-talk game a la Crawford and Sobel (1982), where it is common knowledge that the bias parameter is close to zero with a high probability. We show that \assuming full revelation when the bias is commonly believed to be zero" yields a drastically different prediction for the equilibrium behavior of those who have the bias arbitrarily ...

Communication: Is it the Transmission of Information? [PDF]

open access: possibleJournal of Technical Writing and Communication, 1974
The way a person defines a term could have a significant effect on his behavior. In this article, the writer probes the behavioral pitfalls of defining communication as the “transmission” of information, and offers an alternative definition that may enhance communication effectiveness.

Telemetry Information Transmission

2021
The transmission of telemetry information is a process in which the airborne data collection system collects data and sends them to the parameter selector to pick out the key parameters that are then transmitted by the telemetry transmission system and received by the ground telemetry receiving system, to achieve real-time flight safety monitoring.

Information Transmission and Steganography

2005
Recently there has been strong interest in developing models of steganography based on information theory. Previous work has considered under what conditions the security of the stegosystem can be guaranteed and the number of bits that can then be embedded in a cover Work.
