Genetic information transmission
1976In the last chapter we were primarily concerned with the role of genetic information in the day-to-day life of the cell. We noted in passing that mitosis transmits the cell’s entire complement of genetic information to the new generation of cells. In this chapter we examine more closely this transmission of genetic information to subsequent generations.

Transmission of Information by Coincidence
1982In the previous chapters we reached the following conclusions: Each nerve cell receives from and gives contacts to many neurons. Even cells which are close together usually recieve different sources of excitation and inhibition, both when the spontaneous and when the sensory evoked activities are considered.
