Using Recycled Materials in a Novel Dual Binder System for Hard Carbon Anodes: Closing the Loop Toward Sustainable Li‐/Na‐ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The study explores for the first time the use of polyvinyl butyral (PVB), particularly recycled PVB, as a sustainable binder for Li/Na‐based electrodes in the framework of the H2020 SUNRISE EU project. Findings revealed that electrodes bound with a sustainable PAA/PVB mixture demonstrated exceptional rate capability and high initial Coulombic ...

Chasing Charge Carriers: Diffusion Dynamics in Mixed‐n Quasi‐2D Colloidal MAPbBr3 Perovskites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Metal halide perovskites are noted for their tunable optical properties. Colloidal synthesis allows the formation of differently shaped perovskite nanocrystals with varying optical and carrier transport behavior. Three MAPbBr3 morphologies are characterized: nanoplatelets, nanosheets, and nanostripes.

Robust Information Transmission

SSRN Electronic Journal, 2022
This paper investigates robust information transmission between a sender and a receiver in the Crawford and Sobel (1982) model. We characterize behavior that remains equilibrium behavior independently of the form of a small communication cost. Under standard conditions, we find that an equilibrium outcome is robust if and only if it features a maximal

Cultural transmission with incomplete information

Journal of Economic Theory, 2021
Abstract This paper introduces incomplete information into the standard cultural transmission framework ( Bisin and Verdier, 2001 ). We consider parents having incomplete information about population shares and about the efficiency of their transmission technology.

On transmission of information by synapsis

International Journal of Bio-Medical Computing, 1970
Abstract This study is a solution to a problem of information transmission by synapsis which is reduced to the integration of the equation with partial derivatives of the heat type with mixed conditions. The solution z(x, t) found is represented by an integral of Fourier series which tends to a singular integral in the neighbourhood of x = 0+, the

Transmission of information at criticality

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 2014
We study the problem of information transmission in complex cooperative systems to prove that adaptivity rather than diffusion is the main source of information transport at criticality. We adopt two different cooperative models, the two-dimensional Decision Making Model (DMM), and the one-dimensional Flock Model (FM) inspired by the cooperation ...

Information transmission by chaotizing†

International Journal of Electronics, 1995
The paper deals with the keying of information in spread spectrum signals by the use of chaotic systems. The chaotizer-dechaotizer concept (Bohme and Schwarz 1995) for continuous and discrete time systems is presented and investigated from a common point of view with respect to working conditions.

The transmission of information

2004
The content of this chapter comprises the basics of information transmission, which include some or all of: the information source, encoding the information, transmitting it through a channel, the addition of noise and, finally, receiving and decoding the information.
