We have completed spectroscopic observations (Wu et al. 1997a) of a sample of 73 very luminous infrared galaxies (log(LIR/L⊙) ≥ 11.5;H0 = 50 km s−1 Mpc−1) from the 2-Jy catalogue (Strauss et al. 1992) using the 2.16m telescope at the Beijing Astronomical Observatory. Spectral and interacting classifications are performed for the sample (Wu et al. 1997b)

Roe deer is a species that hides their neonates as an anti‐predator strategy. This may prove efficient against mammalian predators, such as the red fox; however, it might be an ecological trap as large numbers of fawns are killed by tractors with harvesters each year during grass harvest.

FAR INFRARED GALAXIES IN AKARI'S EYE [PDF]

We present the results of Spectral Energy Distribution (SED) fitting of far-infrared galaxies detected in the AKARI Deep Field-South (ADF-S) Survey and discuss their physical properties. Additionally, we perform a comparison between photometric redshifts estimated using only optical and both optical and infrared data.

CI chondrite Oued Chebeika 002 links asteroids Bennu and Ryugu to common parent body

Abstract CI chondrites are a compositionally primitive group of meteorites that have undergone extensive aqueous alteration, providing insights into the evolution of primitive planetesimals. Oued Chebeika 002 is the most pristine CI chondrite to date.
