This study introduces a scalable and colored low‐emissivity (low‐e) paint achieved by spraying an ultrathin n‐doped poly(benzodifurandione) (n‐PBDF) coating onto various colored substrates. The low‐e paint enhances thermal regulation by reducing mid‐infrared thermal emissivity to 0.19, thereby stabilizing indoor temperatures across diverse climates ...

Infrared Imaging of Photochromic Contrast in Thiazolothiazole-Embedded Polymer Films [PDF]
The increasing demand for optical technologies with dynamic spectral control has driven interest in chromogenic materials, particularly for applications in tunable infrared metasurfaces. Phase-change materials such as vanadium dioxide and germanium-antimony-tellurium, for instance, have been widely used in the infrared regime.

Enhanced Terahertz Spectroscopy of a Monolayer Transition Metal Dichalcogenide
An ad‐hoc engineered metallic surface is employed to perform enhanced terahertz spectroscopy of a monolayer transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD). Thanks to a local absorption boost of 104, this technique allows for the extraction of the phonon resonance features and effective permittivity of the 2D material, paving the way for the rational design of ...

Harnessing Outer Space for Improved Electrocaloric Cooling
A novel radiative heat sink/source‐integrated electrocaloric (R‐iEC) system combines the electrocaloric (EC) effect with a thermally conductive radiative cooler (TCRC) to address heat dissipation limitations in EC devices. Utilizing outer space as a heat sink, the system achieves up to 240 W m−2 of heat dissipation performance, making it highly ...

The plasma edge of transparent conducting oxide SrNbO3 shifts from ∼2 eV in the visible range to 1.37 eV in the near‐infrared region by off‐stoichiometry using the vacancy sites as quasi‐substitutional virtual elements. This work advances the stoichiometry engineering of perovskite oxides using oxide molecular beam epitaxy, allowing synthesis beyond ...

The non‐fullerene acceptor o‐IDT‐BT‐DCV is used in both binary and ternary blends to investigate the role that it plays in each device architecture. The charge generation pathways are found to differ between the binary and ternary blends with o‐IDT‐BT‐DCV becoming a second donor in the ternary blend.

Infrared Adversarial Car Stickers [PDF]
Infrared physical adversarial examples are of great significance for studying the security of infrared AI systems that are widely used in our lives such as autonomous driving. Previous infrared physical attacks mainly focused on 2D infrared pedestrian detection which may not fully manifest its destructiveness to AI systems.

X-ray echoes of infrared flaring in Sgr A*
Sgr A* exhibits flaring in the infrared several times each day, occasionally accompanied by flaring in X-rays. The infrared flares are believed to arise through synchrotron emission from a transient population of accelerated electrons.

This research applies advanced laser beam shaping (LCoS‐SLM) to fabricate the Ti‐6Al‐4V alloy via laser powder bed fusion. A tailored beam is used to prevent martensite formation and create a dual α+β microstructure by controlling cooling rates.
