Infrared photoretinoscope

Applied Optics, 1987
A modification of the technique of photoretinoscopy is presented which allows measurement of the refractive state of the eye in noncooperative subjects and in very small eyes. Infrared light provided by high-output infrared LEDs permits measurement at large pupil sizes and thereby better resolution.

Infrared and visible image fusion methods and applications: A survey

Information Fusion, 2018
Infrared images can distinguish targets from their backgrounds based on the radiation difference, which works well in all-weather and all-day/night conditions.

Infrared Rainbow

Science, 1971
Radiation in the near-infrared spectral region should produce a rainbow that is not visible to the human eye. An infrared photograph is shown which displays the primary bow, the secondary bow, and two supernumerary bows inside the primary bow.

Infrared Detectors

Analytical Chemistry, 1969
Infrared radiation has been studied with detectors of one kind or another since about 1800. The difference between the techniques of the first century-and-a-half and the period since World War II is that the earlier devices were thermal detectors, responding to temperature change caused by integrated absorption of energy, while the more recent devices ...

Infrared and visible image fusion via detail preserving adversarial learning

Information Fusion, 2020
TargefTablets can be detected easily from the background of infrared images due to their significantly discriminative thermal radiations, while visible images contain textural details with high spatial resolution which are beneficial to the enhancement ...

Infrared and visible image fusion based on target-enhanced multiscale transform decomposition

Information Sciences, 2020
In this study, we propose a target-enhanced multiscale transform (MST) decomposition model for infrared and visible image fusion to simultaneously enhance the thermal target in infrared images and preserve the texture details in visible images.

Infrared Thermography

2013
Infrared thermography also commonly referred as thermal imaging, or simply thermography, is a nondestructive testing (NDT) technique that has received vast and growing attention for diagnostics and monitoring in the last few decades. This is mainly due to the fact that commercial infrared or thermal cameras, the main instrument for performing infrared ...

Infrared Detector For Mid-Infrared Astronomy

Astrophysics and Space Science, 1989
Recent developments of infrared detectors and arrays for mid-infrared astronomical observations are discussed with an emphasis on technical issues in designing and fabricating photometers and cameras. The discussion includes a small-scale silicon bolometer array being tested at the Steward Observatory.
