Aerosol Jet Printing of Benzocyclobutene as a Thermally Stable, Low‐Loss Dielectric for Multilayer Microwave Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Multilayer aerosol jet printed components with a low‐loss, thermally stable dielectric are demonstrated using benzocyclobutene. Ink formulation and in‐line droplet evaporation control support high‐quality, versatile, and stable printing performance. A specialized measurement for low‐loss materials reveals promising microwave properties, which, combined

Linking Polyelectrolyte Modification and Enzyme‐Catalyzed Phenolic Acid Functionalization of Cellulose Fiber for Functional Foams

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Cellulose fibers functionalized using cationic poly(Dimethyldiallylammonium chloride) (polyDADMAC) and laccase‐mediated ferulic acid system are processed into foams using different surfactants (Anionic, cationic, and non‐ionic). Fiber–surfactant interactions influence foam stabilization and porous structure formation during convective drying, producing

3D‐Printed Actuator Powered by Liquid Crystal Elastomer Muscles at the Water–Air Interface

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Soft robots for unstructured environments require responsive, durable actuators. Liquid crystal elastomers (LCEs) provide large reversible deformations under thermal or optical stimuli. Direct ink writing enables fabrication of LCE actuators integrated with silicone, with mesogen chemistry and oligomers optimized for printable inks.

Thermoresponsive Self‐Healing Carbon Nanotube‐Reinforced Dual‐Network Hydrogels for Wearable Sensors and Information Concealment

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A CNT‐reinforced dual‐network hydrogel combines ionic liquid‐mediated thermoresponsiveness, dynamic covalent crosslinking, and conductive nanostructures within a single adaptive material. The hydrogel exhibits ultrafast gelation, autonomous self‐healing, >1000% stretchability, reversible optical switching, and stable electromechanical sensing, enabling

SGDFuse: SAM-guided diffusion model for high-fidelity infrared and visible image fusion

open access: yes
Infrared and visible image fusion (IVIF) is essential for integrating thermal saliency with textural details to support downstream perception. However, most existing approaches suffer from ”semantic blindness,” leading to the erroneous suppression of ...

Processing‐Driven Engineering of Transparent Conductive In‐Zn‐O Thin Films: A Comparative Study of Spin‐Coating, Inkjet Printing, and Screen Printing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Transparent, electrically conductive In–Zn–O thin films are solution‐processed by spin coating, inkjet printing, and, as demonstrated here for the first time, screen printing. The chosen deposition technique determines the solution composition, which in turn governs the resulting microstructure and optoelectronic performance.

Dielectric Permittivity Tensor of Muscovite for Next Generation All Van Der Waals Broadband Photonic Components

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐index and low‐loss vdW muscovite represents an emerging robust dielectric platform for the creation of next‐generation all‐vdW nanophotonic architectures. Its utilization as a low‐index building‐block in all‐vdW multilayers enables extreme optical contrast when paired with MoS2, paving the way to the realization of few‐layer ultrathin DBS ...

Dynamic Fluorescence Modulation via Light‐Driven Competitive Protonation

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A two‐component molecular system demonstrates reversible, light‐driven fluorescence write–erase cycling and thermal imaging. Illumination of a merocyanine photoacid transfers a proton to a highly efficient fluorescent pyridinium dye, switching its emission color; thermal relaxation reverses the process in the dark.
